During a trip to Erie
Amazing find. Greeted by staff at bag drop and they made us feel like members. Let us know that the clubhouse was available for us to eat pre round as we travelled a few hours . Great lunch waterside and round of golf was very enjoyable as there was no one in front of us or behind. Will return again for sure.
Much Better than expected
I played the front nine several times during highschool golf. Never played the back, so I said heck I will play 18 it if it’s available. After checking the reviews I was prepared for a rocky road before I jumped onto the course. Man was I wrong. Went into the clubhouse, checked in super smooth and quick. They said I didn’t need a cart (I prefer walking) and they even let my dad walk along with me (he doesn’t golf) for no fee. Pace of play was awesome, no issues with slow play, and although 45 bucks isn’t super cheap, I think it was well worth the price. The course is simple, yet fulfilling.
Wonderful long and playable course!!
Well, this is a fully private course. They do offer teetimes to the public every now and then and I took advantage of it with that price. The course is in excellent condition. I played from the white tees because it was my first time playing the course and yardage was around 6400 yards. Lots of risk reward shots if you’re a long driver or able to cut off the corners. Was greeted immediately by the head caddy attendant. Amenities rating was neutral in my opinion because I didn’t use anything obviously because it’s a private club but they did have a cart girl which I only seen around the 15th or 16th hole other than that an excellent course would definitely love to go there again, if given the option and possibly might join if membership is right. My opinion of the course is it is equivalent to conditions of Chautauqua golf club.
Nice course
Course in good shape, nice layout. Would play again.
Tee time not honored
Very disappointed. Arrived at course, was informed of a tournament going off in 30 minutes. Was not allowed to go out. In a technology driven world it would seem to me that a simple email cancelation sent to me prior to arriving would have been perfectly suitable, however I’m not sure the staff could have managed that. Pathetic.
poor management
During check in I was told the course has tried getting off Golf Now because its fully private now. They asked for proof of booking and asked what I paid which was $33. They then went on to say it would be $20 more if I wanted to play 18 holes. I said no as I only had 3 hours of time anyway. So person in the pro shop said you can only play 9 holes then. I was irritated and walked out. Truthfully I should get my money back because I did not get what I paid for.
Good Pace of Play
Worth the money for the pace of play. Fairways could use some TLC but an enjoyable day. Awesome staff.
Helpful Staff
The cart guy came out and loaded us up. The gal in the pro shop was super friendly. We played fast and the only group ahead of us was two couples. They stopped at a gazebo where one of the men asked his girl to marry him! While they celebrated, we played through! A memorable day!
Excellent pace of play. Greens were perfect. Course if relatively flat and open off the tee. Lots of deep green side bunkers. The cost is fair for being able to play a private course. Staff was fantastic, and we will be back for sure.
Great staff and very nice golf course
The Golfnow tee time was too early and a phone call easily moved it. When we arrived, a storm was rolling in so we deferred and went shopping while it rained. The golf professional said we should work with Golfnow for the rain check...but when we returned at noon, he allowed us to play. Nice course in great condition. Very lush with Lake Erie water to irrigate! It has a tricky creek on the front nine, and the back is a little long for my wife. We played about three hours with the storm coming 15 minutes after we left. The pro shop gal and cart boy thanked us as we left.
