Dix Hills Park Golf Course

It was father's day so take it for what it is worth. I had a 10:12 reserved tee time and did not tee off until 11:40. Starter did not have control of the start at all. He had reservations and tee times on a clip board but was stacking foursomes in the order that they approached him and was not really following the reserved tee times. This left many golfers frustrated and created a confrontational environment at the start, there was just no consistency to his starting order. I asked him why he put an 11:00 foursome in front of me and his answer was that I should go talk to them. WRONG - that is his job.

But is was a nice course for the money and we did have a good time. If they get a competent starter I'll give it 4 stars.

the course was very clean and well kept I was very surprised to see a small course like this up kept so well.The 4 par 4's were short but fun to play you can use driver and almost get there.

Nice course. No carts available. Heavy rain that week. I only played 8 holes. They booked somebody else with my group. Sent me out to meet group already in first fairway. I was supposed to play hole #1 at the end. When I finished #8 there was a line of three foursomes waiting at #1. No starter. I decided to not wait. I left. The course was nice. Better maintained, than last spring. No yardage markers on fairways. I have trouble judging distances. I would love to play the course more often, but it's always crowded.

Its a great course for players of all levels. The lie is at times challenging to read but most times I like walking the course its beautiful. Staff are friendly and accommodating. $10 for a 12pm tee off is nothing but a great deal.
