Dix Hills Park Golf Course

All par 3/4. Time through the course is about two and a half hours.

Just off the highway. Can be easily accessed from the LIE or the Northern State.

Small iron only range. There's a chip practicing area to the left of the clubhouse. I didn't try it but next time I will.

I will be going back frequently.

My experience playing this course was great.

However,

I tried several times yesterday morning to cancel 1 player due to illness...

But I was not able to get that done on line.

I tried to explain the situation on the chat line..

But it signed me off 3 times.

I am not very happy how the site handled my request and that I was not able to communicate to someone about the 1 player cancellation.

I hope to be refunded for that 1 player.

Fairways and Greens not in the best condition. Tee boxes very bare.

So, as the title states, this is a pretty short, not that shabby of a golf course for us weekend players. Was the 2nd group teeing off, so, was done in a little bit less than 2 hours, so, that's an expected pace.

You'll be able to use your driver, but, you better be somewhat accurate with it, as most holes are either lined up with trees or you're gonna be on another hole's rough/fairway.

Also, found it weird that the motorized golf carts had gps, but no yardages would be given. And the gps would give your position if you were off on the rough and be requesting you to "go backwards", back to the proper path (guess management wants us to stick to the carth paths).

My biggest gripe is how "beat up" all the tee boxes were on all the holes. I was told by one person on my group that it's due to the course having "soccer golf" outings & events (guess that answered why there some big holes with a flag on it on the ground near the greens). Fairways were good. Rough was HIGH. The greens were wet and SLOW.

Overall, a good course for those who want to get their 9 holes in quick.

For a scheduled tee time my group got pushed back 25 mins. The pace of play was obnoxiously slow, having to wait at every tee box for the group ahead of me to tee off. The tee box was all dirt, no clear area to hit. I was very disappointed in the course and I do not recommend if you want to golf. If you need to practice your irons game then this course will suit you. I will probably never play here again.

I like the course but I feel like $35 for 9 holes is a little high but I do like the course and I do tell people to play

Always very enjoyable to play this course. Very nice people who run the place and they keep it very well for a municipal course which for seniors is $15 and 30 for everyone else. Good exercise if you are walking the course with lots of shade and wide-open fairways!

Sometimes it seems like they are jamming a lot of people in at the same time. Would prefer that they space it out a few more minutes apart so you don’t have to wait in back up on each of the beginning holes. Especially because it is only nine holes. Overall would recommend it to anyone from beginner and up and look forward to playing there again soon.

This course is an hour away for me and I have played this course with no problems several times last year. 1st the starter could not find my reservation I had shown him the confirmed reservation on my phone and he made comment on my nerve condition where I shake a little when I’m anxious and then said I needed to show him A paid recite, Left frantic and scrabbling to get in contact with Golf now he chases me down in the parking lot and tells me he will let me go out. Imagine looking forward to playing a nice round of golf after an hour drive and then this. I go out and The t boxes not kept up lots of divots and just spots of grass Dead branches hanging over the fairway at some spots, Very disappointing I should of been offered a free round after the start fiasco. I will not be going back

Like the course nice set up I will say they also have some kind of soccer golf thing that confuses me woth the flags on the holes....they should change those to triangle ...but overall nice course enjoyed it

Everything was great. My only criticism is returning the cart. No one there to wipe it down so the next group got my germs.

Good course - 30 bucks for 9 holes was a pretty good deal. Holes aren’t too nuts and course is good for beginners and people who don’t play that often
