Whispering Springs Golf Club

I booked my tee time about 8:30 AM hoping to get in 18 holes before a forecast line of thunderstorms hit the course. I got a 10:48 AM tee time as a single. I showed up early, and was sent out early behind a twosome on the back nine. The staff couldn't have been more considerate! I finished about 20 minutes before the first thunderstorm hit! Pace of play was 3.5 hours for 18 holes.

The course is in great shape from tee to green. Greens are absolutely outstanding! There are lots of bunkers, but the sand is easy to get out of. Most of the fairway bunkers were just out of my range which was a big help.

Very good deal for this time of the year, even though we did get a few drops of rain. Pace of play was great, because of this time of year (Nov). Will do again.

Course was in excellent shape. Had a great time playing. My only complaint was the amount of leaves on the ground. Made for a few lost golf balls in the middle of the fairway. Will definitely be going back!

I do enjoy playing this course although it's tough to pay the green fee and cart rental .if I do see a deal on golfNow I would definitely try to get the tee time. the greens are plenty big and very undulating. afternoons is when I usually play and the pace of play is fairly quick.

This course is always in great shape. Front 9 is much more enjoyable then the back 9.

This is one of my favorite courses in the Fond Du Lac area. Located right on the escarpment there are significant slopes to deal with, especially on the back nine. Some of the tilted greens will challenge you. Fairways and greens were in nice condition, and there is an excellent view of Lake Winnebago from the 17th fairway. I am not a fan of the tall tree in the middle of the fairway on #9. For the average golfer that tree makes it too much a matter of luck whether or not you will have a shot to the green after your drive.

I liked the course a lot. Visually, it was very pleasing to the eye. The holes are challenging and the greens were fast. Important to be on the fairway, the rough can be tough.

As soon as you walk up to the pro shop and get a view of the 1st hole tee boxes and the 9th hole green you get the feel that this place is something special. Did not disappoint even being delayed by a storm in the area which made playing out of the sand a bit more difficult but even wet the course played nice.

What a beautiful course. Great layout with lots of trouble to get into. Lots of sand on back nine.
Only complaint is this course needs a marshal to keep play moving. Very slow play. One single player who was playing from the blue tees, should of been playing from the golds.
At one time he was holding up a foresome. (Must of been a club member.)
That being said, loved the course, would go back again anytime.

Tough Course.....Too Many Bunkers. Found It Too Challenging To Avoid Water And Sand.

The staff was great to work with. The starter was friendly and attentive. The course was in good shape to play however too much rain added unwanted water to a few of the sand traps making them unplayable. The pace of play was very slow. A ranger may have helped with this. We enjoyed the round. There are beautiful vistas and dense forest areas. We will return to this challenging course!

Course is in great shape. Great value. Did not have any food while playing the course, so did not rate food and beverage. Would definitely play this course again.

First time playing the course and found it to in great shape. Tee boxes lush and level, Greens smooth and fast( after a good amount of rain 3 hours earlier).Sand traps placed in areas to make it tough on you. Some traps are very deep. With all the rain prior it was hard to get out of them today. Fairways all in great shape. Would say they are about avg. in width. The rough was very playable, thank god cause I was in it way to often today. A creek runs though the course and comes into play on a lot of holes. Will take a couple of rounds to figure out where to place shots into the fairways to have the right angle in. Greens also had a lot of slope to them. Friendly staff, one of the ground crew tossed 3 balls my way that he found. For the price I paid on a hot deal I would say AWESOME. 25th round this year and 12th course and would rate it in the top 3 for this year. The one thing I would say it lacked was elevation change. I can't wait to get back.

I have not played this course for over ten years and was very happy with my return here. i won't make the mistake to wait this long to return. enjoyed the afternoon very much.

This is a beautiful golf course and somewhat challenging. I've golfed it before and will golf it again soon. Loved the layout. Great people working the club house and restaurant.
You must give this course a try. I'm sure you'll agree.

I play Whispering Springs about three times a year and always find it well maintained. The course is challenging with well designed holes ... no gimmicks.

Played course many times. Always fun and interesting.
Plan on playing there many times more.
