Solid Course!
The course was outstanding, not too challenging of a layout, but definitely requires some strategic play. It’s got some deceptive distances, a great layout that shows off the local environment, and the course was really well kept! The cart paths could use some work for sure, but that’s really my only complaint! All of the staff was super friendly, and a Saturday tee time for $15 wouldn’t get a complaint on a bad course, and it certainly won’t for a course that was as fun as Scott park! One of the most enjoyable rounds I’ve played in a while!
Silver City Course
This is a pretty demanding course. Layup discussions along with weather to just go for it.
Only course in Silver City
As a city course it is pretty well maintained. Has a some challenging holes. Good eats afterwards. If you play fast players was waving our group by. Was a good pace then. Alot of courses don't have that type of player. Made the play better.
Course layout very nice
Nice layout of 5, 4 and 3 par holes. All greens except hole 17 are in excellent condition. Most of the fairways are currently very burnt up due to the fact two of their main pumps are out. Tee boxes are okay but need cutting.
Other main issue is that most of the sand traps are being over grown with weeds which is totally unnecessary as this could not happen if they were just raked on a daily basis.
Most all Cart paths Maintenace have been kept up so they’re in pretty good shape.
If they get the pumps fixed I would think they could get a majority of the fairways back in shape and this would make a big difference on overall play.
Nice Course for a small town in the mountains
This is a great public course for a small village in the mountains. Plenty of variety. Most of the greens were in excellent shape. Have played here several times and the condition keeps improving.
Great Greens
Course is in great shape for this time of year. Looking forward to playing again in the summer.
Only course I found in Silver City
Nice challenging course and for a course in a small city was very good
Getting better
I grew up in Silver City and have seen the highs and lows over decades. This course is 200 percent better than it was a year and a half ago. Looking forward to seeing how far the new management can take it. Thanks for making it playable again! Hopefully you can figure out 17 green. Many have tried, none have succeeded.
