Somerset West Golf Club is primarily a parkland course which has been split into three sections due to a railway line and a road running through it. Although these divisions appear inconvenient, they actually add to the challenge as all three sections have elements that challenge the golfer, especially when either the North Westerly or South Easterly winds blow.
