Hunter Valley Golf

Some people are pretty harsh. Our foursome found the course to be in the middle of renovations which will improve the course no end. Personally I found the amount of water challenging, but then isn’t that what Golf is about. If we return as a group to the Huntervalley next year, then the Huntervalley golf club will be our choice for a round.

The course is of a very high standard and the greens were frighteningly fast! Joined by Father and Daughter in foursome as we teed off, for a very testing but enjoyable course.

Let down but the odd ‘eightsome’ in front which looked like a stag do or footy outing which slowed play at times and the players behind were right up our rear putting pressure on!

We tried not to let this affect us too much but it had some effect on my son trying to rush at times.

Second time I have played this course. The front 9 is more of a child/beginner type situation whereas the back 9 is a challenging resort style course. Overall it’s excellent value for money. Most people just play the front 9 so it’s very slow for 9 holes and then quick for the back 9. Would definitely play there again.

Golf carts were quite dirty, which was disappointing.

Really good value for money $50 walking. Course has some fun holes but when we played the greens were really slow. Definitely needed a cut.

Beautiful well kept course. Nice and flat so walking is easy. Golf course attached to a brewery is always a great bonus.

My favourite course in the Hunter Valley for sure

For the price of $45 for 18 holes on a course that is better then most public courses. Such a fun challenge and great pace of play

Greens are really slow and staff were not real friendly

I can tell when in peak season under normal weather circumstances, this course would be really nice, but with all the rain of late I can tell that the green keepers haven’t been able to keep the course in its top shape. The greens were very nice and considering there is a lot of hazards the course is rated pretty low, but I feel it should be rated harder then it is. In saying that I avoided the hazards all day and ended up with a pretty good score for someone of my capabilities. I play off 12 and didn’t find it too hard to make pars and a couple birdies.

It’s been very wet. So playing a round in a buggy on a resort course in reasonable condition was good. We like the course and layout. Challenging without being too difficult.
