Good all round course
This course was good all around, I especially liked that the fairways were in good condition considering it’s summer and a lot of places the fairway are dry and hard. The greens were in decent condition and rolled well.
Quirky layout
This course is great for practicing lots of side hill/down hill/uphill lies. Also put the driver away on several holes. Long iron/hybrid or 3 wood are the better options. You need to play smart to score well here. It’s a ghost makers course. The Pat 3’s are very good. It doesn’t beat you up this course, Its not overly long, great cardio workout due to the hilly nature. You need to work the ball and manage the course.
Pleasantly surprised
We picked this course at random because we were only in Newcastle for the day so wasn't sure how we would go. The course was great and the staff in the pro shop & club were very friendly. Had a very pleasant afternoon.
