Colts Neck Golf Club

I’ve played this course 3 times the past couple years. $65 for this course a few years ago is what it is worth. No way that this course should be charging $105 for temporary tee boxes in the rough. The course wants carts in by 7pm, which is an hour and a half before dark, seems like the staff just wants to go home. This course is terribly run, we were behind 3 groups of high school girls who would not let us play through. Coach was very rude and didnt care about trying to keep pace as much as he could. Tee times should not be allowed after high school practice begins.Will not return. Oh did I mention the three 12 year old boys hanging out on the course running around stealing golf balls off the fairway and standing in front of the 18 tee box collecting balls from the lake. No management here whatsoever

The course has a few interesting holes. The conditions were not up to what a semi-private course should be.. Several holes had tees in the rough in front of the tee box because the tees were being redone or had other problems. This made a couple of short par 5s play more like long par 4s. The greens were speckled due to an infiltration of weeds.

We passed some players who were waiting around for 30 minutes because their cart conked out. It shouldn't take 30 minutes to get them a usable cart. A cart in our group needed a push to get home after playing the 18th.

played Colts Neck about 100 times in5-6 years... greens need to get better soon,,, ,fairways getting there , warmer weather should help the grass grow... seems they turned over staff...starters always pleasant

The course was aerated and the greens were high dressed. Also there were two tee boxes that were under repair and unusable.

Glad they were taking care of the course but felt that we could have been informed of the conditions in advance. Also, given the difficult conditions, $95 per golfer was an unreasonable fee to be charged.

Have played Colts Neck before and usually treated better than this. Was surprised and disappointed.

For 95 buck not worth it. Should be a update on golf now. aerated greens and then temp tee boxes on a few holes playing at 68 on scorecard not 71. Not in great shape. Usually play 2 or 3 times a year but Prob won't be back this year. Very disappointed in what this course has become.

Played this course a few times but not since Corona. They have serious gone down hill tee boxes in the rough on every par 5 because they are trying to grow grass on tee boxes instead of sodding them last year or covering at end of last yr with covers so they were ready for this year. Every other tee box is in rough shape the rough is Dead all over the course they need a serious renovation. If I was a member there I would not be happy. Definitely not worth 95 dollars. My somerset country course is in way better shape then this semi private course

No carts available & can’t buy or bring alcoholic beverages if you aren’t a Member

The ranger was harassing us and told us that we were playing too slow multiple times despite the fact that the group behind us we not waiting for us. We played in 3 hr and 30 minutes, by no means slow. Don’t harass people because you are cold and want to go home.

Really a great course expect greens do have some rough patch’s Worth playing if it is under $ 50 witt try h a cart!

I've played Colts Neck 6-7 times over the past 10 years. It is designed well and the greens are always quick. The course quality was really poor yesterday. Tee boxes are uneven and resemble the remnants of the Battle of the Bulge. I get it, that's what we get for being hooligans and playing winter golf, but the price needs to updated to reflect the quality. At this price, go play Neshanic. Same price, but always in pristine condition.
