Decent layout with large greens in pretty good shape. Fairways are improving, although still need some further work. Clubhouse appears to be nearing completion,which will be a big improvement. Carts are generally dirty, which is another area of improvement.

I have NEVER played a course that has NO fairway approach areas to the greens. You can NOT run a ball on to the greens. Pin locations need to be changed weekly on your OK greens. Tee Boxes need to be changed daily.and broken tees picked up.Layout is fine and Club House looks nice. Try a promo to get the driving range used.... to nice to just set there. Giant flaws in fairways need to be repaired .

Pace of play was slower than any course I played this year Over 5 hours Greens in great condition Tee boxes and fairways were poor !!!

Below is an exchange regarding my round on 8/4/19. As bad as the 5 hour round was, the interaction with totally apathetic management is worse. Their GPS measurements are inaccurate, and don't take into account the half hour wait to tee off.

Summary - there are far better courses in WNY, don't waste your time at this one.

Mgr: AJ, I have researched your pace of play from yesterday and I see that you teed off yesterday at 3:54pm and finished the front 9 at 6:03pm. This shows that you played the front 9 in 2 hours and 9 minutes, which is faster than our pace of play policy. This puts you on pace to finish 18 holes in 4 hours and 18 minutes, again faster than the usual pace of play of 4 and a half hours. We also had a small outing on the course before you yesterday which obviously did not slow down your pace of play. In regards to the conditions we have been constantly working to improve the conditions of the golf course by watering our greens and fairways to make sure we are providing our customers with the best experience possible.

Our actual tee time was 3:27, finished just after 8PM. Front nine was excruciating, waited for two groups ahead to tee off on 4, 7 & 8. Back nine pace was better, but we still waited on 80-90% of shots.

Conditions...drove on #11 to center fairway into what was essentially a waste area of dead grass and dirt. Conversely, drive on 14 in fairway ended up in a mud puddle. Found that each fairway had good spots and bad. Tee boxes looked like they hadn't been rotated in a week, and greens were littered with ball marks old and new. 12 foot putt on #8 was not makable given conditions, and this was fairly consistent hole-to-hole.

I honestly love the layout of your course, and I think if managed better it could be an area jewel right up against other area public courses (Ivy Ridge & Harvest Hill come to mind). Unfortunately, given what we went through yesterday, it will be a long time before I come back and try it again.

There is no doubt that all of your greens fee is being used to build the new clubhouse. The course is the worst that it has been with no sign of maintenance. Not worth the money or the aggravation. Fill your course up by charging $20 and maybe use some of the money for the course.

When this place was opened, I was genuinely excited to have a new premier public course in the area. At first they were saying the upkeep problems were because the course just needed to “grow in” or something along these lines. I went this past July and the whole course is one big weed. I’ve never seen so many weeds on an established golf course in my life. In the fairway, in the rough, even on the fringe. The bugs are also eating this course alive as well as it’s patrons. The greens do roll decently well. The layout has its challenges and it’s probably the best thing about the place. The clubhouse has taken well over 3 years to build supposedly and they’ve run their operations out of a shack or trailer basically since it was opened. The overall upkeep of the place is disastrous and just disappointing. Such potential gone to waste that I can’t even get friends to go their anymore when everywhere else is booked. They’d rather just not play, and that says a lot.

will never patronize this course again. conditions are poor and the staff are the most ignorant people i kave ever delt with. save your money

Cart paths need work. Fairways need work. Holes in #3 fairway have been there for years. Rarely see anyone working on the course other cutting the grass. The greens are OK. I took a lesson from Ben a couple months ago,Good guy,Big help. The sand traps are not good.The pace is OK. The starters are good.

yes a few holes could use a little more work #1 and #3 even more so -back 9 pretty good maybe 16 or 17 a bit more - fairway bunker on 16 and fairway bunker on the right on 17 -the greens are excellent 95 % of the time -key course feature -lotta nice holes bunkers usually good shape too

Beer sales ended at 5pm. Course packed on a Sunday. Teed off at 3:15, grabbed a few beers for the front 9. Made the turn at 5:15 and clubhouse was locked up. Called the proshop to ask if they can have somebody open it to sell us beer for the back 9. No dice. Kid was cocky and unhelpful. If I ever get stuck playing there again I will be sure to stock up early. But, hopefully that doesn’t ever happen again. Course was pretty beat up. There are better values out there. Lots of ball marks on greens and fairways burned out. They appear to be putting all their money into a new clubhouse instead of maintaining the course.

Gravel traps are terrible, if you can’t maintain them with sand remove them.

Grass way to long around apron of greens. Whoever heard of rough around a green?

Club house will be a huge upgrade if it ever gets completed.

Many divots not repaired and not sand on carts to help do that. Not many ball washers and tee box's could use help.

The staff was terrific.

BTC has a great layout and very good greens, but everything else is lacking. Fairways need a lot of work and sometimes difficult to tell the fairway from the rough. The sand traps have always been in poor shape and need more sand and less stones. Pace of play is usually very slow however likely due to more “beginners” playing here. It’s a shame they’ve been trying to build a clubhouse for two years. Their limited funds would have been better off going into improving the course to make it more playable and up to similar standards as Ivy Ridge, Arrowhead, Diamond Hawk, Glen Oaks and Harvest Hill to name a few. Also understaffed and unprepared to host tournaments. Not unusual to run out of food and start things late. Focus on the course and.customer service and it will help to drive revenue to complete the clubhouse.

This used to be what I would consider my "home course". However, this year course doesn't seem to be taken care of as in years past. Fairways with large divots and tee boxes in rough shape. The price is $10+ above where it should be for this course. $51 for this or $55 for Harvest hill...100% harvest hill no doubt as it is WAY nicer. Twilight rates should start at 5 instead of 6 (nobody books tee times between 5 & 6, after work, because they wait till 6 for the twilight rate, but then the course is way to crowded at 6 so you are lucky to get 9 holes in before sundown. Disappointed to say the least.

Just about all the greens have multiple ball marks that people don’t fix. Weekend players don’t care. Only 6 ball washers on entire course and usually out of water or have minimal dirty water. Sand traps have multiple large rocks in them and usually hard. No fluffy sand which is great because your ball usually rolls right through it. Gravel cart paths need to be filled because it’s like pot hole city which we are used to here in Buffalo. Fairways have bent grass which is harmed to hit off of especially in the spring when it hasn’t started growing yet. Rough in places it’s so thick it’s easy to loose your ball. Must go back and forth looking slowing play. Not cut low enough to speed up play. Not worth what they charge.

course is in terrible shape !!! never have seen a course with the entire green surrounded by rough,no aprons.USGA says a course should be playable by all levels of players...not here. the people in the pro shop treat you like a total incon vienence. we usually take 16 to 20 people and we will never go back

Course layout is excellent. Found it to be in good shape. Golf pro is friendly and hopeful

A group of myself and 7 friends had tee times first thing in the morning, I believe 614 on fathers day. We live 40 minutes away from the course. A course rep had no problem calling us the day before our tee time to male sure we were showing up that early the next day.. my HUGE problem is the fact that no one had the courtesy to call us the morning of our tee time to let us know the course was unplayable. Instead, we all got up at 430am, drove out to BTC just to have an attendant standing there in the parking and tell us the course was closed.. we found this absolutely unacceptable and refuse to play your course again. We much rather prefer a phone call, even bright and early, to save us the hour and a half round trip, then drive all the way out for nothing.. Horrible customer service!

I think the layout of BTC is very good. Conditions are iffy at times. tee boxes and greens need more attention and fairways are bare in spots. The rough is fairly good.

Compared to other courses in the area they overcharge by about $5.00 / round.

Amenities are poor. No drinking water on the course except for the snack shop which isn't always open. Ball washers are not on every hole and are sometimes empty.

Lots of potential but a long way to go to meet the price they charge.
