Fun course. Tricky greens
Played a 7:12 round and finished in just over 4 hours. Course is in great condition. While it is tree lined, they clear out under the trees so you almost always have a recovery shot available.
It’s not a long course, so you won’t need driver on every hole. That said the back nine has two 400+ yard par 4s that are very challenging and none of the par 5s are reachable unless you hit two perfect shots.
My whole group struggled on the greens. They were faster than expected, but they generally did not break as much as you expected....except for the ones that broke more than expected.
Overall great course, beautiful condition and I will certainly be back.

Too many plugs not fixed on greens
Narrow. Accuracy over distance. Put my long hitting driver away and used (for me) more accurate hybrids. I actually thought the course was not bad. However the thing that thoroughly ruined it was the unrepaired ball plugs on every single green, to the degree that there was basically was nowhere that you could put a shot over 20 feet that probably didn’t require some form of repair. Maybe fix that problem and you got a tight but ok course.

Tight off tees good challenge...tees in good shape...greens roll true..greens are very receptive ...other players don’t fix ball marks which is a shame

A real treat, golf and dinner
The course was in great shape, the ply just a little slow and we had a delicious after golf dinner for the first time in a long time. I always enjoy this course and sitting on the patio is a real treat. Staff is very nice.

There's reason they call it "The Woods"
It's a nice course. A couple of silly pin placements, but overall fair setup. There's definitely a reason they call it "The Woods." Could probably call it "The Woods around the lake." Pay close attention to the aerial views or risk paying the price.

Aptly named
Very nice course but challenging as fairways are quite tight. 4hour round. Greens not overalls fast but rolled well.

Single carts for $20 extra
We had a 9:24 tee time, off about 9:10 not many golfers out, followed a 2 some all day but did not wait at ALL. First time playing this yr because of Corona 19. We played in 3 hrs and 45 mins. Greens in good shape with cups covered with foam. Looked around parking lot later and not many cars . Staff member said Cart not included in price......Thank your governor........so total price to play riding was $60.......much more then is the pass.

Pretty Good Condition
Greens were nice, fairway was well kept and pace was solid (4 hours even).

We booked the course anticipating renting carts. When we arrived we were informed that there were no cart rentals after 3:30. Our tee off time was a few minutes after that so we appealed to the starter. He was rude and would not let us have carts. If this is policy you should inform people when they book the tee time so they can bring pull carts. At the very least you should give cart preference to seniors and people with medical conditions.
