Don't get ripped off at Wedgewood
After purchasing a discount tee time on Golfnow, the golf course refused to honor the price. They just said that Golfnow got the price wrong and they were not willing to budge, even when I showed them the printed receipt showing the price. This isn't the first time I have heard things like this about this golf course. I won't be back!
Great course
Great course in kept in great condition. This facility has 27 holes, a driving range and quiet carts which is always a plus in my book. I will 100% be playing there again!
Wedgewood
Not a bad course. It is open with a few holes that call for accurate tee shots. If not accurate, you will have to punch out or get creative. You can get aggressive throughout this course, there are a few hidden creeks though, so be aware of that.
Wedgewood weekend of the fourth
The course was in excellent shape and the greens were just a tick slow. I haven't played there in ten years and I was amazed that it was in such great shape.
Consistent Conditions
I’ve been playing this course for years & it’s always in good condition despite a very few areas that never seem to completely dry out except during droughts. The greens always run true, but there are very, very few straight putts on any of the 9’s. Pine & Maple offer the best challenge as Oak is wide open & very forgiving for those who need such. And don’t let the shorter yardage fool you as there is a lot of local knowledge needed to score well (e.g. where those little creeks are located, where NOT to use your driver, how to read some of the greens that defy gravity due to the grain & where to land your shots to the green for the best chance for par or better). The GM & his entire staff are very customer oriented and some of the starters are a real hoot (i.e. love to razz the regulars when they hit an errant drive, but always in fun). So all of the above is why I’ve always enjoyed playing the course & will continue to do so as long as they continue to maintain it as well as they do.
need to hit irons accurately
Wedgewood has 3 nine-hole courses. We just played the Oak and the Pine. Most of the holes are fairly easy, but there are some tough holes, especially if you don*t boom one off the tee. Greens were in good shape, and worth playing.
Good value, nice course
Played Maple (great condition) and Oak (new, in OK shape) courses. Not a whole lot of trouble if you can keep it straight off the tee. Most of the holes very reachable and you can score well on a fairly short course. Very few water hazards come in to play and if you avoid out of bounds on several of the Maple holes you could be in for a nice low score
Course in good shape
Have played this course many times over many years. While some say the course is short and easy,,,, I don't know of too many golfers who shoot under par.... so "easy" is a relative term.
The staff are very friendly and the course is maintained very well.
Short, Boring, Overpriced
The yardages may say otherwise, but this course plays very short. A few holes feel smashed together. The conditions are usually ok, but for the price I'd rather play just about an other course in the area.
