Great little coarse

We shot 68!
We were preparing for a 3 man scramble for the weekend and decided to get a practice round in and the course was fabulous. We had such a great round we hit range balls afterwards. Thank you
This is a nice course for all golfers
The course has a very nice layout, tree lined fairways, some water and traps on holes.I think the greens were excellent very smooth to putt on and they were a nice speed. This is one of my favorite course to play.
Convenient location; Nice shape, Shorter Course but always fun.
Played on a Friday afternoon after some heavy rain. Course was wet, 90* rule in effect but balls were not plugging. I enjoy playing here. Not a long hitter (220-245) so playing from the whites is a good yardage got me. Course was well maintained and greens rolling nice and true. It's nice to play on a bomb and gouge course but also nice to play a shorter more position shot oriented course like this one as well. Better bring your 185-210 yd straight shot off the teebox here otherwise it can bite you.
Some nice elevation changes on 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8 17 and 18.
Nice finishing holes over the water on 9 and 18
Outing!!!
Course is in great shape!!! We arrived for our tee time early, only to find out that they were behind. To make matters worse, they had 2 outings scheduled. It took over 5 hours for our round. The group behind us got mooned (butt naked) on the 8th tee by someone in the outing (said he was a Doctor (yelling so loud you could hear him 3 holes away). Great course, disappointing day.
Nice day at Chenoweth
Had a great time with three of my friends. Course was in great shape. Play was steady. Great scenery and easy access to and from the interstate highway. Good food in the clubhouse as well. Staff was very friendly.
Great Value!
course was in good shape. This was a great value! we had to start on back 9. Pace of play was a little slow.
Terrible Service
This review would have been a good review had it not been for the attitude of the person in the clubhouse. We booked on Golf Now for a great discounted price. I did not know the golf course would pair you up if you did not have a foursome, which is my fault for not reading the fine print. When we got there, I told the guy behind the desk that I would prefer we golf as a twosome and that I would make up the difference which would have been $12 per person at the regular rate. I even apologized and said I was not trying to be difficult on more than one occasion. He charged me $22 per person (the rate I paid initially on GN) to which I said nothing even though I felt I was being overcharged and did not speak another word to me, did not acknowledge my apology or anything. This guy pretty much ruined any chance of having an enjoyable outing. I will never golf at this course again. Do not book on GN for this course. Service was terrible.
Very nice little course.
Good place to golf with friends. Not too difficult. Enjoyable layout.
Good play on a good day
A few blind shots but not a hard course to play. Is in good playing condition.
First time playing at Chenowith.
I ended up booking this round for 21 for my friend and I. It was an outstanding value. I will go back to me and time again. We were scheduled to tee at 8:45. We teed off on time and played 2 holes. We got stuck behind a 5 some if women who absolutely took as much time as possible. Apparently they were in a league and eiuld.not allow us to play through, and we waited 5-10 minutes on every shot. It took us 2.5 hours to olay 9. We played the back in 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Chenoweth
The Proshop tried to overcharge us by $6.00 so make sure you have your confirmation page with you. Other than that, the course was in very good condition and play was smooth. Would recommend to anyone.
This course has great features
Golf course was in very good condition! The course had a few challenging holes. I would definitely play this course again!
Nice shape
Course was in great shape. Was sent off the back nine first and behind a women's group. Play was slow but was able to make the turn and make up time. The greens was very slow. But overall great course.
Great Day
I had a great day. The course was a bit wet but in good condition. It rained off and on while I was on the course.
Uneven conditions
Cloudy, windy day with rain the last 4 holes, which may have accounted for the attitude of the pro shop help, as I'm sure he was hoping no one would want to golf on a day like that, so that could catch a nap and not be bothered by people
The course itself is a shorter, shotmakers course with most of the turf in good shape. The only yardage markers that I could find were disks in the fairway. They really need to have above ground markers, so that you can determine what club to hit off the tee, as many times driver or even 3 wood is too much club.
Most of the greens were in very good shape, but about 5 or 6 had been recently aerated and were bumpy and slow. These greens were mixed in among the 18 which made it almost impossible to figure out the speed of the greens, as it went from 3 near perfect greens to a bumpy slow green back to 2 fast ones, then 2 slow greens and so on and so forth. The bunkers on this course seem to be the one thing that they do not maintain. They all seemed to have enough sand in them, they just have not been raked in a long, long time. Note to the course superintendent, take some one off of a mower, or leaf blower and stick him on a trapmaster, even once a week would be a great improvement, and make for a more enjoyable golfing experience.
With very short par 3's, short par 4's, some blind shots tossed in, I can see why other reviewers complain about slow rounds. With only another single in front of me I played the front in under 90 minutes. But somehow a twosome got in front of me on the back. I caught them on the 11th fairway, and they did not speed up until the rain started falling on the 15th. The back nine took me over 2 hours.
Overall a nice layout and conditions, but most days it will probably be a slower round.
fn course to play a lot of nice holes
Course was in good shape for the amount of rain recently but staff was terrible it seems that if you were not one of the good old boy's you weren't really welcomed.
Excellent Course - Way too crowded
I'll start off by saying this is a beautiful course. Maintained really well, fairways and greens are great. My issue was that it seemed like things were managed haphazardly for such a nice course. Tons of groups were put on and it was way overbooked, to the point where there were 4 groups (yes, 4) waiting on a par 3 tee box. Also, I paid off of Golf Now for what I thought was 18, although when I got there they said it was only 9 and Golf Now "doesn't show when it's 9" (even though they clearly do). The course is worth it, but I'd bring a few drinks and a cigar to enjoy the wait time.
Nice round
Played pretty quick after the group ahead left after playing 9. Nice course, great value.
Hello u428437877,
My name is Brian Todd and I am a manager here at Chenoweth Golf Course. I wanted to apologize to you about the way our front desk employee treated you when you played golf here. I also wanted to explain why we pair people up. Every once in awhile we get 4 singles who book tee times through golf now. Or in your case two-twosomes. What happens when people play by themselves is that tee time turns into two tee times. Or even 4 tee times if people are singles. It is unfair for the players who have the tee times before and after those because it takes longer for people to get off of the tee. In the future I would recommend calling the clubhouse of the golf course you play at and let them know you would like to play by yourself. That way the course staff can put you in the right time slot to accommodate your request. Again I do apologize for the way you were treated by our front desk employee and I did discuss their behavior and show them this comment. We appreciate your feedback and do hope you give our golf course another chance.
