Paid for a round of golf with cart and wasn’t provided the cart should have been a rain check for this!!!
Good course, bad bunkers
Everything was nice besides the bunkers which most were hard dirt instead of sand.
Earlier times needed
I go in and ask about tee times available which are earlier but not available to golf pass
Nice course for locals.
Course is a mile from my house. It’s great to be able to golf so easily. It’s not a phenomenal course, but it’s not too bad.
Cons: -The fairways/greens are jammed pretty tightly on Holes 4, 5, and 6…which can make peak golfing days a bit treacherous.
-Many of the sand traps tend to be “unplayable”, if the weather has been consistently too hot or too wet.
-There’s no “pro shop” or place for golfers to hang out before or after a round….
Pros: -Course maintenance has improved greatly this year (2023) and the fairways/greens are in the best shape, this late in the summer, that I’ve seen in 15 years of golfing at the OHIo U course.
-The course is not boring. Plenty of trees, sand, and bends. The Hocking River splits the course. It has just enough difficulty to keep it interesting, but any golfer at any playing level will enjoy themselves on this course.
Bottom line: An inexpensive, easily-playable, (and very appreciated) community course. If you’ve never played at Ohio U Golf Course, you’ll really enjoy it!
Goose poop on almost every green group of players was extremely slow playing and holding up other players
It's not what it could be.
Trashed tee boxes, Sand traps needed major repair. Fairways were in good shape. Quirky, hidden creeks in front of greens. Dirty power carts, Run down golf shop. Don't bother.
