Golf Advisor: Top Courses in New Mexico
Staff is always so friendly! Course is in excellent condition this time of year. A nice mix of challenging holes and easier holes. The signature par 3 is lots of fun!
Great course but pace of play is slow
This is a great layout and the clubhouse is nice. My only negative is the pace of play. The course really should have a course marshal. I also think they should also play in groups of four instead of twosomes.
Awesome practice facilities
The course itself is pretty good. Challenging layout and picturesque views. The practice facilities however are the main draw. They have separate chipping, putting and range areas, with hundreds of free range balls on the chipping green for anyones use.
We had a great day at Angel Fire. The staff was friendly and helpful and we played with some fine people. The structure was helpful as the Marshall kept everyone moving and on time.
Best Experience Yet
We’ve played this course several times before, and this was the best experience thus far. Service was the most noticeable uptick. Pro shop, starter, and hospitality services everyone were so happy to take care of us. We brought my brother-in-law (not a golfer) to ride along, and he sure enjoyed it. Also, we were impressed how good of shape the course was in without any significant rainfall this season. Keep up the good work Angel Fire.
Beautiful mountain course..
Excellent and challenging course and in very good shape. The staff was very friendly and the pace of play was fast. All in all Angel Fire is a great course in a great setting.
Soggy but fun
Rained about 2 hours before we started so a bit soggy here & there but great afternoon & beautiful course.
love playing here!
Angel Fire Golf at > 8500 Feet: Cool, Green, Spectacular Views and Wildlife
Escaped the heat in Texas up here, never got above 75 degrees, fast perfect greens, lush fairways, abundant deer, small mammals, geese, ducks, other birds....no skeeters or snakes (up too high). Super friendly staff, on-site patio or bar dining with beautiful sunset view of highest mountain in NM. Great short game practice area, practice green and range (pyramids of practice balls sit waiting for you). For the kids, onsite indoor pool, kid clinics, kid meals.
Saw inquisitive deer every time I played. You will find all you need at the well-stocked pro shop. Their Wednesday afternoon 3 person scramble 9 hole event is always fun and very affordable. An exceptional stop for golfers looking for a mountain golf experience in Northern New Mexico.
