Looking pretty good
The course was in the best condition I have seen it in several years. Good fairways and tee boxes. Greens were medium to quick. New signage to help you travel to the next tee. Overall, very good experience.
The greens were in phenomenal condition!! The sand traps need a lot of work. Most of them were washed out due to recent storms. A few fairways had some rough spots. Overall the course is really nice.
Info
It would have been nice if I was told that there is no water stations anywhere on the course.
They asked me if it was my first time and I said yes that would’ve been a good time to let me know if something like that.
Physically, it was extremely demanding without water are very little water and you do not have a chance to grab any at the office area because you don’t go there till the end.
Course was great. Loved it. The guys were nice, but that can get very dangerous not having any water on the course and not letting newbies know that.
First time at Grand Lakes
Really enjoyed the layout and the condition of the course in terms of value for money. We (my son and I) will be back for sure.
Bare Minimums
Staff was friendly and great value for the money.
Heads up pro shop is limited and no alcohol sales on property or beverage cart, and no drinking water on the course at all.
A handful of greens just covered in weeds and most tee boxes are bare sand but still playable. Carts are decent no coolers gps or washers, with a little more investment off the course this could be a great course.
Really nice layout with beautiful rolling hills. Greens are in good condition, with most of fairways in good condition. This is a challenging course, good for both low and high handcap players. I will definitely play this course again.
Course Marshalls needed
Played behind a threesome today that left pretty good reasoning to go to a par three course first. Took four hours and 45 minutes to play.
Great value for the price. Greens are in excellent shape. Fun course. Friendly staff.
Great course, great hospitality!
Visiting from MN and golfed this course a few times already and it is a great course and hospitality, service, staff are all amazing! Very welcoming!
Always Slow
I have played at this course multiple times and I have always had a terrible experience with pace of play. This time it was due to a group that was allowed to play with 6 people. UNSAT. They were slow and they did not let people go through. The fact that the course does not have amenities (none) and does not staff a marshal to ensure pace of play, I would not recommend spending the time and money to play at this course. Do better.
