Amazing course
The course was in amazing condition. It is a long course, but the layout is awesome. Only one problem there is no driving range or practice greens. If that does not bother you and you live close get the membership.
Gary Player would Approve
Grand Lakes is a Gary Player designed course . It’s definitely not cookie cutter . Every hole has different challenges . 5 years ago the course needed lots of work . Today it’s a completely different course . Almost every hole is tree lined . . Every week they are making improvements . The Fairways have gotten much better since all of the waste areas have been removed in the last few years .My favorite improvement is that the greens are comparable to The Woodlands greens where I live . Bunkers are plentiful and are being improved also . It’s always been important to me that Customers service is a priority and at Grand Lakes it is . Since there is no Clubhouse they allow golfers to bring their own coolers . It’s nice always having whatever snacks or drinks I want to bring . So if you want to find a reasonably priced course that will challenge your game give Grand Lakes a try . Will Mattern ⛳️😀
Course Conditions Great
This has to be the most improved course in the area. Greens are excellent, fairways good. Traps are not bad. The superintendent has done a great job of getting this place in good shape.
Great track. Lacks amenities. Great value.
Scenic links course. Great layout. Course in rough shape in August despite plenty of rain. Tee boxes and greens need a little work. Friendly staff. No snacks on course and water etc only avail before you tee off. Nothing at the turn. But in terms of interesting course and pace of play - really good.
The course did not have me in their reservation system despite booking on Golf Now (with confirmation email and number in hand). But they got us right on anyway.
Great course
This course was challenging and beautiful. The greens and fairways were very nice and maintained.
Friendly staff!! Will return to play again.
Playing this course for the first time.
Little challenging not knowing the layout. So made it a slower pace for us. Not having a driving range or putting green to practice on made it more challenging not knowing how tge greens were running.
But overall we had an enjoyable game. I will definitely be coming back and will recommend this course to friends.
Great, beautiful layout
I hadn't played in a couple of years as the course is a 1 1/2 drive from my house. I was glad I made the trek back out there as the course is in terrific shape. I love the layout deep in the pine trees. Only a few holes have houses in site, but nothing close or distracting. Other have mentioned the no frills amenities. Tiny pro shop with a bottled soda and snacks. One small restroom there and a couple of Porta potties out on the course. The fairways and greens were terrific shape, but the bunkers need some attention as some have weeds growing in them. That's my only minor complaint. We played in 3 1/2 hours on a weekend. You can't beat that. I will certainly make it up there again this summer.
Grand Lakes GC Review
Course was not in good shape. Cart path only didn’t help with the experience. Sand Bunkers were not playable and contained rocks and pebbles.
