In the heart of the Pays d'Auge, 15 km from Deauville and 30 minutes from Caen, Golf Barrière Saint-Julien opened in 1989. Golf Barrière Saint-Julien is located in a beautifully maintained classified site of 90 hectares. Its architects, Alain Pratt and Bill Baker, designed two courses in a distinctly British style.
"Le Vallon" is a championship course where numerous water features wind along the fairways and greens. "Le Bocage" is a 9-hole course dedicated to less experienced players. The Clubhouse of Golf Barrière Saint-Julien was designed by the renowned architect Jacques Garcia, overlooks the surroundings, offering a magnificent view outside and inviting you to relax in the pure regional style.

Weitläufig, selektiv und ungepflegt
Das Personal am Empfang war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Diesen Platz sollte man, wenn man kein durchtrainierter Sportler ist, nur mit Cart spielen. Trotzdem der Platz sehr hügelig ist und auch nicht übermäßig besucht war, waren keine Cart verfügbar. Auf Nachfrage bestätigte man uns, dass insgesamt zu wenige vorhanden seien und davon auch noch einige Batterieschwierigkeiten hätten. Alternativ gab es auch keine Elektrotrolley sondern nur Schiebetrolley. Insgesamt lässt der Pflegezustande des gesamten Platzes zu wünschen übrig. Abschläge nicht gemäht, Fairways darf man als solche nicht bezeichnen, einzig die Grüns waren OK! Trotz interessenter Lage und toller Vegetation ist dieser Platz nicht empfehlenswert!
