Surprised
I was told that they had lost all the greens. They had lost some over the winner, but have done a whale of a job in getting them back.
Very fair but challenging course.
I will play it a lot this summer.
Worst public access course in Tulsa area
Wanted to try out the new greens and they were very bumpy and had many bad spots and crab grass. They were worst than expected but what I didn't expect was the overall poor condition of the rest of the course. I have seen lees rough on some of the other courses around town than was on the tee boxes. Most all of the bunkers are near unplayable. Used to play there a lot and was badly disappointed. Don't waste your time or money.
Course
The fairways and tee boxes were in excellent shape. The temporary green are all being worked on. The 150 markers all have a yardage sign to let you know the distance. I still rate this course a 1 out of 10 as a 8. Hopefully soon the greens will be back and able to play on again.
Under Construction-but well worth the time and money
Enjoyed the day. Temp Greens but was told up front. Can't wait to go back when they are in full swing. Beautiful course, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very accommodating.
Someone should be fired
The greens are completely gone. How can you charge money for that. I've seen alot of problems with greens in Oklahoma summers but nothing like this. They need all new greens. I'd stay away until they are rebuilt.
Nice course for the price.
This was a fun course to play, the layout promotes more thought on your tee shots. I used less than driver on most of the par 4s.
FUN
Had a great time about I can say great staff too !!
Very impressed.
Great course.. Love the layout. It is a must play if you are visiting Tulsa, OK.
Normally a good value
The greens on the back nine weren't the best, and to compound the problem many pins were placed in the areas where repairs were being made. Pace of play was extremely slow with some groups ahead not following rules of play. There was also no beverage cart, and the grill was already closed before 5pm. Not the usual White Hawk experience I've been accustomed to.
Great course for the money
White Hawk is one of the best kept secrets of Northeast Oklahoma. Great course and staff, a big bang for the buck.
Great course exept
Great course exempt for two things, the temp green on the par 3, and the idiot working the snack bar
Great Value
Course was in very good condition , one temp green, 2-3 others with patches. This did not deter from a very enjoyable round. Did not expect the free lunch. Cooked to order when they could have said the kitchen was closed, it was 4:00. Big thank you. I wish I lived closer to make this my home course.
Greens not great
Great staff. Fairways in decent shape. Greens aren't good on back side.
Back nine greens in poor sgape
Front nine greens in pretty good condition. Many back nine greens in fair to terrible condition.
However, have played here many times with better greens conditions. Maybe this is a temporary problem.
Several Greens are shot
Played in a scramble at White Hawk on Sept. 25. Several greens on the back nine were in horrible shape. One green, on a par three, was completely void of grass. I don't mean dead grass on the green, I mean NO GRASS on the green. Several others were not in good shape. I wouldn't play more than the front nine if I were to play it again in the near future. I cannot recommend this course in the short term. When they recover, I would play the course again.
The back 9
The over all condensation of the course was good. How ever the back 9 had a few faults such as the greens that where neither good or green, most had no green at all, bad bug problem to much water or fungus Made for a high score on those hole due to roll offs and bouncing, other wise pretty good .
Greens are dead
The front 9 is ok. The greens are a little shabby with grass shoots growing on them, but playable. That back 9 is almost unplayable with the greens. 12-16 the green are dead, and 17 is almost there as well. I was not informed before booking a time. Will not be going back this year
