Fantastic scenery and T box views
Course was well groomed and greens were in great shape for the weather we have had.
Plus My son Jared played terrific that always helps.

Challenging walk because of elevation changes. Generous fairways. Excellent course conditions. Greens a tad quick, but receptive to iron shots. There were several signature holes on course. My only complaint is 3 of the par threes we're downhill shots. Overall, one of the best courses that I've played in MA.

Foursomes abound and if 2/3 players in group can lead to running up on fellow golfers
Nice to see ranger and starters trying to keep pace of play on schedule so social distancing can be sustained
Greens lightning quick and as course comes back from Below full staffing level, it will remain a favorite

Enjoyed playing this course very much..the course was both fun and challenging.
Fall/Winter Golf
Strange shotgun start method used to get all the daily reservations out at the same time for late season rounds but worked; pushed pace & with 8 hours of sun in mid-November makes some amount of sense. One of the better MA metro-west tracks, most are a crap shoot but this one likely has a high floor in terms of quality so, while it may be worth $20 less than a $70 round cost (especially in November) I would (and probably will) pay the extra $20 here again just knowing most public courses in the area are subpar.
From when it begins
...at the CART station to the Pro Shop to the Starter to the Course Ranger(they actually HAVE ONE!!!!)...makes this one of my groups preferred courses...and the vistas on the back 9 are just a delight...course does challenge your shot making and, staying within your self...greens a tad rough, still working itself back from being aerated a few weeks back...but FAST is what is to be expected...
Seems like there is ALWAYS something of extra
Having played this course about a week prior with two regulars(WHO FELL IN LOVE WITH IT ALMOST INSTANTLY), and having a chat with the bar staff during this first visit regarding and event, the two cronies wanted to see if we could get back there as soon as possible. In the course of chatting with the bar staff, she stated they would be aerating M/T/W of THIS week...well, having a GOLF NOW pop up deal show us, AND KNOWING the greens were aerated ahead of time, I still booked a single(two cronies tied up with spouses). Well, the 'something extra' here was the CALL FROM THE PRO SHOP just after breakfast, to alert me that they had just aerated and wanted me to know AHEAD OF TIME. WOW, some kind of attention to the client!!! so use the date of 9/26 as the END of AERATING to ponder how long it might take the greens to come back.
Suggestions would have to do with some way to alert golfers BEHIND readying tee off/or shoot into a BLIND FAIRWAY(there are several) that it is safe...our foursome had to cart ahead and then return...with the homes nearby the fairways a bell may be a bit much, but some where this is a idea I urge the course to consider something, since, being a modest 6'6"tall, I was personally 'just missed' twice on these fairways...offset by what will soon become absolutely beautiful vistas of FALL colors particularly on the back 9
The GROUP has joined me, in now having this as our #1 choice...
