Collicutt Siding Golf Course
About
Collicutt Siding Golf Club is situated just 20 minutes north of Calgary in Crossfield. The player-friendly course will appeal to players of all ages and abilities. The golf course offers two distinct nine-hole layouts with a straightforward front nine that is followed by a more challenging, links-style back nine. The golf course was created in large part by great community effort. Construction began on the front nine in 1994 with equipment, materials, and labor that was almost entirely donated. The back nine was added in 2003. The golf course operates as a nonprofit organization, benefitting the entire community. Though it may not be what you're looking for if you want a truly formidable test, the course is a prime example of prairie golf with natural grasses and pristine water features. In addition to the course, Collicutt also boasts the largest junior golf academy in Canada.

Nice Prairie Style Course
This is a nice course that's hard to pass up when a Hot Deal comes around.
Great track for the casual golfer.
Course is in great shape, beautiful fairways and tee boxes, top-notch greens. Not much trouble, not many trees, little bit of water, not a lot of sand, yet challenging enough. Nice touch with club cleaners on the cart, and plenty of ball washers on every hole. I'll be going back for sure.
Good for novices
Value was great. Course was in good shape. It was very busy. Enjoyed our day.
Fun course great value
Fun course great value. Good variety, some fun water holes and challenging shots Clubhouse food was great.
Easy getaway for golf just north of Calgary
A relaxing and relatively easy 18 holes with a nice new clubhouse.
Perfect for the average duffer.
We thoroughly enjoyed our golf experience here.
Arrived early and was sent out early. kitchen staff very friendly and clubhouse guys were efficient and cordial. Pace of play was great. We were a two some and were allowed to play through two foursomes . So were impressed with friendly golfers and their accommodating gestures. Will play here again
This Course is in Great shape
Great shape and not too many mosquitoes, fairways are green and lush and the greens are in great shape.
It's not how you start, but how you finish!
Collicutt Siding is, like many rural 18 hole courses, the quintessential "tale of two cities." The front nine was apparently a labour of love designed and built by community volunteers and local golf lovers. Pretty decent effort, but nothing to distinguish it from myriad other rural nine hole tracks.
The back nine, which was added a few years later, represents a vast improvement over the front, with nicely contoured fairways, better bunkering, and much more interesting green complexes.
Consequently, my three star rating reflects an average of the two nines - two stars for the front and four for the back.
As an added bonus, the property is situated within a pleasant and peaceful setting, where farm animals, horses, gently rolling pasture land and pristine prairie provide a welcome departure from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Overall, an enjoyable experience, particularly given the phenomenal "hot deal" price I received through GolfNow! I'll be back.
sand bunkers and water locations make it a nice challenge
17 dollars plus a golf cart for 18 holes was excellent price and it was a very relaxed outing
Great course to bring your game back into focus
If my game gets a little out of balance, love to come back here to straighten it out. Very forgiving and open. Some challenging holes, especially on the back 9, so it is not a cakewalk. You don't need cart paths here and yes there are mosquitoes, but they are everywhere this year. Use a repellant.
Can get windy, and that keeps the mosquitoes away
Great value for money
Price was great for the quality of the course. will definately play there again! Course was a little wet after a decent rainstorm. Drianage needs a little to be desired, but otherwise great. Not very busy on a saturday which was fantastic.
Tons of mosquitos
The course is located around lots of sloughs with standing water, and they have a ton of mosquitos right now which made it almost impossible to putt on the greens because you would get swarmed. Not sure if they sprayed to reduce the hatchings. The course itself is pretty straight forward. Except that there was a lack of cart paths between some holes. (#9 not well marked). Didn't like the layout of certain holes, in particular the 18th. Would have liked more of a groomed bailout zone before the hazard, especially when the wind made carrying the hazard difficult.
