Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf & Curling Club
About
Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf & Curling Club is centrally located within 15 minutes of the Edmonton Area, St. Albert, Morinville, and Cardiff. It first opened as a nine-hole course in the 1950s. Since the second nine wasn't added until 1996, there is a distinct difference between the front and back nine that makes it feel like you're getting two golf courses in one. The front, the original nine, is a more traditional parkland layout while the back is a more open links nine. You'll face a different set of challenges on each. The smaller greens on the front are indicative of the time when it was built and the size will also test your shot placement skills. In contrast, Edmonton Garrison Memorial's back nine has large and undulating greens as well as more strategically placed mounding.

Terrible Cart paths
Huge potholes throughout the course, cart paths are terrible, if not massive potholes then there are massive tree roots bulging through the gravel. It's not worth the jarring back ache to take a cart. Never experienced such poor cart paths in 23 years of golf..
Decent
Greens were in good shape and putted true. Fairways thin in some spots which is surprising due to the amount of rain we've had. Overall, good price for the course.
Nice day out golfing
Go there 3/4 times a season; closed to home; average layout, fast greens. Would definitely come again.
Poor!!! Cart paths
Cart paths are terrible! Filled with pot holes, massive holes, or large tree roots, back jarring.. all the cart paths are in need of grading, refilling, and packing. It would be a nice course to play otherwise.
Relaxing day on the links
Went with my great-nephew who is still new to the sport. We both enjoyed the round as we were not being pressured despite our slow play. We even received some helpful instructions from the marshal. All in all it was a good experience!
Weather
I could not finish the holes today. I could only play 1st hole then the weather went pretty bad rain storm and the temperature was only 10 degrees. I am trying to see if I can get a refund. Thanks
Great course conditions.
Unreal how amazing the course weathered best I’ve seen it in years. Greens and fairways are amazing. Tee boxes decent as well. Only issue was torrential rains I played in lol.
nice and unique
The course was nice, well maintained. The staff were awesome and the various Army vehicles scattered throughout the course add a unique touch that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I would recommend this course.
Open and tight
This course is great for a nice relaxing day of golf. It does have some narrow fairways, however if you can keep your ball straight, your day should be pleasing. The greens are in good shape and give you a good roll out.
Fairways and reasonable but dry so usually you get a good rollout. The rough is tough and keeps you looking, so don't go there.
A great course to get out and play some enjoyable golf on.
Great fun
The greens were in great shape. Easy 2 stroke rollout to cross the bigger greens. The greens were dry and fast making putting interesting. Fairways were dry, so for us that need a good roll .You got it. The rough was still growing but easy to get out. I understand that later in the season not the same. Book around and enjoy your day
