Fort Saskatchewan Golf Club

About
Located just a few minutes northeast of Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan Golf & Curling Club offers one of the most challenging nine-hole golf courses in Alberta. Don't underestimate this short course, there are holes that will force you to think carefully about your strategy. A meandering creek traverses through the entire layout, providing the primary water hazard. The creek either runs alongside or crosses almost every hole. It runs the entire length of the memorable eighth hole, which already has a large pond in the center protecting the front of the green. There are tall trees lining the fairways and bunkers can be found on some of the fairways and greens. Though the bunkering is minimal, it's strategically placed. The impressive nine-hole layout has an interesting mix of holes, including some severe doglegs like the course's opening hole.

fun and challenging course
I've been playing this course for years as i have lived in the area and it get better every year. course is usually in excellent condition and well maintained. each hole has a different layout and unique style of playing, some short and some long, some up and downs and some holes that lean you towards risk and reward shots. greens are very fast and slopped, which can leave you with some challenging putts. there is enough hazards to still make it challenging but also still a very fun and not overly challenging for any skill level. recommended if your in the area!
Good place for the price.
The course was well maintained. The course was challenging enough for beginners. Overall the course had a good mixture of some long holes and some shorter to practice all your skills and frustrations.
Each hole is quite differnt, which makes it a it course for me.
I n my opnion Ithis a good course as each hole is quite differnt .
The greens were very fast, and some the greens have quite a lot of slope ,which makes putting a chalnge. I think two of the more slopey
greens were too smooth as a up hill putt would stop and rolled back off the green. I like this course. I will be Back.
Had a fun day
I have always liked this course, the only negative is that is only 9 holes so you play it twice, once from the whites & once from the blues.
if you have not played the course several holes have hidden hazards.
It is a 9 hole course and it was a 5.5 hr. round. As we arrived on time to tee off for our back 9 they put out another foursome between us and the group we were following.
fun course
this course is well maintained . great staff great value for your money. LOVE IT !
Nice course
We will be back again, love that course!and it's in great shape
Course is very attractive, with holes that range from challenging to rather easy.
Course is well laid out and very well maintained. Though there are only nine holes, I really like the idea of replaying the same holes in quick succession, since that helps a lot in the course management aspect of my game.
Great golf course. But the city noises are awful.
This is a great golf courses. Everything is nicely maintained. But be warned - if you love quiet courses with just the nature's sounds - then this is not a golf course for you. It is nestled between very busy roads. The traffic noises get almost overwhelming and you need to be careful on two of the holes to not shoot in the traffic or even worst - in a house.
