Got stuck behind two very slow foursomes, so we left after 9 and didn't play the second nine. There was time, but it was just too frustrating waiting and waiting!
Staff make it miserable before you even tee off
Went to this course for the first time, staff at counter were rude, obnoxious and treated me like I was an idiot for not knowing I had to tell the young staff member that I needed a power cart ahead of time, who was standing right next to the counter guy. When I asked how would they know I needed a power cart unless I came to the counter and asked for one, the young member then left the counter and walked out to where the power carts are near the parking lot, the reply was “well you should have told him when you walked up.” There are no signs stating that and there was no staff member by the carts when I walked up.
Then during our round the Marshall watched us like a hawk, at one point yelling at us, to not bother looking for a ball that was lost, when we hadn’t even tried to begin looking for it. I was there with my family, wife and 2 boys for a family event. We were not causing any problems Or being disrespectful, just trying to enjoy a morning out as a family. This basically set the tone, as my wife and I were then stressed and always looking over our shoulder. The Marshall 2 other times was on us, for not keeping pace even though we maybe twice had people waiting behind us, yet we also caught up to the people ahead of us on more than a few occasions, and finished our round in a normal amount of time.
This ruined the whole event for my family and I, the boys had fun, but my wife and I were disgusted on how we were treated. Thanks for taking the fun out of family event Oxbow staff, I will never be back, that is an understatement.
Love the wide fairways.
For a likely low budget golf course, I enjoyed my first round there. Unfortunately the day was windy and cold. Course condition is excellent.
Great 9 hole country course
Amazing hidden gem just east of Calgary. Challenging enough for low handicaps and forgiving enough for higher. Great staff and crew at this beautiful country course.
The people don’t have a etiquet of the golf and don’t have a Marshall. The people play call the phone, etc etc etc
Awesome 9 hole course with super friendly staff. We will be back for sure
Mid Oct. and still playing
A little chilly to start but warmed up the back nine
Fun course, relaxed!
If you want to enjoy golf go here, relaxed and fun, less strict. Other players are very nice typically. No pressure here! Thank you!
Course is in average condition to play except there are some dried areas on 2 par 5' (#3 & 7).
Good price/ Friendly staff/ We've enjoyed it & we'll come back.
No rain today
The course is in really good shape and we completed 18 hole under 4 hours
Start time @8.45 the temp was 6 degrees Celsius we played the course under 4 hours and the end temp. was 15 degrees Celsius over all it was a good round. Someone had driven a piece of equipment with lugged tires over several of the greens GRRRRR told the operator about it.
Course is in fabulous condition......customer service on the course was better than any other in the Calgary area. Will be back for sure!
Great day in the country
Best day of the week, a little windy and the wind got stronger as the day went on.
Great pace of play, and a beautiful day in the country. Very enjoyable.
