Vulcan Golf and Country Club
About
Vulcan Golf & Country Club sits on the outskirts of the town. The layout sprawls across gently rolling terrain accented with stands of mature trees. The course measures to just over 6,300 yards from the back tees. It's gentle enough for beginners but also great for more advanced players who are looking for a casual round that can be played in less than four hours. The golf course starts with a gentle front nine with water only coming into play twice. Don't be lulled into a sense of comfort though, the course becomes progressively more difficult, culminating with the signature 18th hole. Water appears again on six holes on Vulcan's back nine, including on the final par-3 hole. Water borders the entire left side and there are also a slew of bunkers protecting the large green.

Greens still very slow
They have aerated and sanded greens a week ago. They are still very slow and quite bumpy. Guess they need more time to grow in.
Great course!
We’ll maintained and exceptionally well run course. The pro Gordon Brayton runs a tight ship.
On site: a well stocked pro shop and amazing food and service on the licensed restaurant/patio. A perfect place for dinner and drinks after a round.
Friendly
Staff is very friendly and helpful great place to golf as long as the wind isn’t blowing hard today was the best day I’ve experienced in a long time on the back nine with hardly any wind had a great time at a reasonable price.
Getting there
Greens have been aerated and sanded. Better today than on Monday, so they're getting there. Fairways have been fertilized. Just need some sun - not this week.
breezy
course itself was fine. extreme wind gusts made it less enjoyable that it could have been. impossible to maintain any balance on the back nine as there are no trees to provide any shelter.
It’s a great course but way too slow to play in the weekend.
Great farmland links course
The wind was blowing making this one of the more fun times I have played the course. Great layout, making it fair with the 90km+ hour wind.
Great course one of my absolute favorite.
