Vulcan Golf and Country Club
About
Vulcan Golf & Country Club sits on the outskirts of the town. The layout sprawls across gently rolling terrain accented with stands of mature trees. The course measures to just over 6,300 yards from the back tees. It's gentle enough for beginners but also great for more advanced players who are looking for a casual round that can be played in less than four hours. The golf course starts with a gentle front nine with water only coming into play twice. Don't be lulled into a sense of comfort though, the course becomes progressively more difficult, culminating with the signature 18th hole. Water appears again on six holes on Vulcan's back nine, including on the final par-3 hole. Water borders the entire left side and there are also a slew of bunkers protecting the large green.

Great rural course with friendly staff. The front nine are original with many mature trees and the back much newer and more wide open. The tee boxes need some work but overall a great and fun course.
This is a wonderful course, easy to find and a course that is challenging for the more experienced golfer but also user friendly for the newer golfer.
Green is slow and patch on fairway on a few holes on front nine. Not that good but overall it a good layout course.
The only issue we had was it was a very hot day and the refreshments cart did not get to us until hole 17 and then it was last call for the cart! Had we realized we would have stocked up at the clubhouse to begin with!!
