Vulcan Golf and Country Club
About
Vulcan Golf & Country Club sits on the outskirts of the town. The layout sprawls across gently rolling terrain accented with stands of mature trees. The course measures to just over 6,300 yards from the back tees. It's gentle enough for beginners but also great for more advanced players who are looking for a casual round that can be played in less than four hours. The golf course starts with a gentle front nine with water only coming into play twice. Don't be lulled into a sense of comfort though, the course becomes progressively more difficult, culminating with the signature 18th hole. Water appears again on six holes on Vulcan's back nine, including on the final par-3 hole. Water borders the entire left side and there are also a slew of bunkers protecting the large green.

Course is great for all handicap’s
Front 9 is the original course with a links style on the back 9 so a little tight on the front & you can let it out on the back great staff & ground’s people keep the course in great shape well defently play again
2 courses in one
This course makes you pay attention on the front nine it's the original 9 with mature trees were the back let you let it out as it doesn't have many trees as of yet so we found it a fun course with 2 separate 9 's would recommend to all give it a try the staff is very friendly & the prices are decent.
So windy!
Course was in good shape, and went around under 3 hours, so pace was excellent. However, very windy (and thus probably why we only encountered one other couple who let us play through right away).
Greens have been fixed
Last time we played this course, greens were quite slow. Not this time, they've fixed them and they are in good shape (with exception of #9 which was slower than the rest). Went around with no delays, great round.
Beam Me Up
A nice 18 hole track with mature trees on the front nine with tight fairways for the most part. Back nine is a typical housing development but you never feel crowded by the homes. Good fun for sure . . . .
This course is in good condition
Had a nice round. It was a very nice day to be on a golf course and enjoyed it very much.
Greens quite slow
Course was being watered and it needed it, but overall pretty good shape. Greens were very slow, need to be sped up.
Vulcan
An Excellent well maintained course....fairways are in great shape and greens are true....
Great value
fun course, staff were great, overall feel was very welcoming.......great food at an excellent price!!
Great course
Loved the back nine, the front nine is great for all golfing levels.
Country course
Excellent small town course with mature front nine and newer back nine. The course was in excellent shape,
Course was okay. On the back nine, housing is along the course. I hit a ball into a back yard with no fence and when I went to retrieve the ball and drop it back on the course, the person started to complain to me for getting my ball from his property. Why would you build on a golf course with no fence if you did not want people retrieving their ball. This put me in a foul mood for the rest of the game and I probably will not return because of him.
Day started off great, but rain came in at the 12th tee and we bolted for the clubhouse. The rain quit 40 minutes later and we were able to go out to the 12th tee and carry on with no problems. Had a good round - 79
WELL MAINTAINED,GREENS ARE SMOOTH AND FAST
course in great shape.had a great time .played here many times and always enjoy the friendliness of all staff
Nice course.
This course is like playing 2 different courses. The front 9 is fairly flat and treed. The back 9 is a links style course. The greens are tiny on the front but this makes for a challenge. The back 9'is wide open with rolling fairways and lots of sand. My only complaint was that it was a Holliday Monday. They were fairly busy. It was hot as heck. Especially on the back 9. No beverage cart. We had a couple bottles of water and just made it. A good golf course has a cold beverage for you when you need it.
