About
Vulcan Golf & Country Club sits on the outskirts of the town. The layout sprawls across gently rolling terrain accented with stands of mature trees. The course measures to just over 6,300 yards from the back tees. It's gentle enough for beginners but also great for more advanced players who are looking for a casual round that can be played in less than four hours. The golf course starts with a gentle front nine with water only coming into play twice. Don't be lulled into a sense of comfort though, the course becomes progressively more difficult, culminating with the signature 18th hole. Water appears again on six holes on Vulcan's back nine, including on the final par-3 hole. Water borders the entire left side and there are also a slew of bunkers protecting the large green.

Value for your money
Great course older front nine with lots of mature trees so tighter and fairways so very challenging. Back nine is wide open so you can spray the ball a lot more than the front nine, so two different 9 ‘s . For the amount of maintenance crews they do a great job looking after the course , also staff are always friendly and helpful.
A great day to be on the golf course
The weather was great and so was the course. The greens are in great shape. The fairways are a little patchy in places but overall it was a great day.
Pretty slow
Not sure but maybe Wednesday's are lady's day? Had a 4 some in front of us, had to wait on every single hole. Very slow.
Getting better
They are getting the greens in shape. Much better than last week. They've cut them and they aren't near as slow as previously. During the round they were putting the sprinklers on the greens. Getting in good shape.

This year's been pretty windy on the course so far, and today was no exception. Front nine is somewhat protected by trees, back nine was brutal. Oh well, can't control the weather.
Great Track
Friendly small town course, great staff, Course is in good condition for the time of year. The Club Pro “Gord” is a great guy..
Enjoyable day
The course is in good shape for this time of year. Some winter kill on the fairways as expected. The greens are in good shape and very true.. great course to play and not overly expensive.
Two very differnt 9's.
This course is a gem. Great practice facilities to shake off the drive out. The old nine is very old and established. The newer nine has a little more wind. Together it makes for a fun afternoon.
Early May
Course is in very good shape for early May. Dry but sure the rains will come.
Special mention to the staff for having things well organized for the Covid conditions. Thanks for keeping us all safe while we get out, distance and get some golf in.

Beam Me Down
Course was great fun to play and in late September it is like having your own private course with just a few members playing. Good sales in the pro shop. Downside: GolfNow double billed me with no recourse via email, chat or telephone to resolve a system error on their part with "Try Again Later" to complete the reservation.
Nice course
The course was in good shape but the leaves are coming down and can make it hard to find your ball. The weather forecast didn't quite match as the clouds rolled in and the wind was quite strong and cool.

The course is in great shape and the weather was perfect. It was a nice day to be outside and playing golf.
