About
Vulcan Golf & Country Club sits on the outskirts of the town. The layout sprawls across gently rolling terrain accented with stands of mature trees. The course measures to just over 6,300 yards from the back tees. It's gentle enough for beginners but also great for more advanced players who are looking for a casual round that can be played in less than four hours. The golf course starts with a gentle front nine with water only coming into play twice. Don't be lulled into a sense of comfort though, the course becomes progressively more difficult, culminating with the signature 18th hole. Water appears again on six holes on Vulcan's back nine, including on the final par-3 hole. Water borders the entire left side and there are also a slew of bunkers protecting the large green.

Never Again
It says that this course welcomes beginners. We were pushed and harassed for 4 holes. Quit after that. Bullying is alive and well in Vulcan. Maybe the other players should think instead of calling the pro shop anonymously to LIE about beginner players golfing in front of them. We did Nothing wrong but are just beginners. NEVER going here again. We let 2 other groups play through. Just trying to enjoy family time and nature. To those who were in a hurry. You made my daughter cry. Hope you had a great game. Was it really worth it???
I always enjoy playing Vulcan. The course is
in great shape and the staff are super friendly.
Greens very slow
Fairways are in good shape. Greens are consistent, however very very slow.
