Unfriendly staff
Clubhouse employee was very rude about the fact I booked through this app. I really like this course layout, but the staff are very bitter about you booking through an app that offers discount. Clubhouse wasn’t even open for lunch on a Friday.
Fort Langley no more golf now
They said they no longer use Golf Now at Fort Langley Golf Course.
Greens are nice, course is still a little wet.
Good course for heading out for practice. Has a couple small, greens that could be tough to hold for the average golfer, but all in all.. half decent, and will play there again without a doubt
Fair and Best Conditions, worst Pace of Play Ever
It was a semi hot day for the GVRD area. so you can expect some firm and fast conditions. But many of the tee boxes were in horrible condition. Un even, bumpy, little to no grass. Some fairways were very unkepts and there were a few weird weeds that propped up here an there. But some holes are really hilly and maybe this can't be helped.
But the worse thing was pace of play. We started at 12:40, and did not finish up 5:45. We played as a twosome, behind a pretty quick threesome, and it was waiting on every shot, every tee box.
It was quirky, kinda fun. I will play again as I think they can do better.
Bring three cans of OFF!
I have played this course many times. It is what it is- smallish, generally flat greens (the exceptions are difficult), scruffy fairways and poor tee boxes. A mid-week $55 price point is crazy, so the Golf Now price of $38 mitigated the sting. Nothing mitigates the clouds of mosquitoes enveloping the course. Granted, we teed off early, which led to an under-four-hour round, but it is difficult to hit shots with mosquitoes flying into your mouth nose and ears.
How about a snack shack open after nine holes? And a grounds crew that will stop the sprinklers when you are trying to tee off on the tenth?
Mosquito
I played this course while visiting the area. On check in no one advised of the mosquito infestation, and they were bad The T boxes were very hard and some fairways are dangerously close to other fairways. It was a long w/e and a lot of booze was being consumed on the course.
Value for money, I wouldn't recommend it.
Disappointed.
What happens if you book a tee time through golfnow then?
