Okay experience
The course was a ball eater - lots of low brush. I would play the other part of the course if I was to come back. I am glad I played it but would not play the 11 holes again.
First time on the par 3
A very interesting par 3. Well designed holes and very nice greens.
Would suggest better direction signs, found it a little difficult to find hole 2 and 10.
Why was it open
The course should not have been open to play on. Even the Marshall was surprised they had it open. 2 holes closed with no one telling you. No tee boxes at all.
Lots of maintenance
Hole 11 is non existent even though you pay for it. No one told us. Hole 10 doesn’t have a tee box and many other issues. But for how cheap a hot deal is, it’s not bad. Not worth more than $15
First Time
My first time at newlands was perfect until the second hole.
I was looking at my really great shot being a new golfer.
As I walked along the fairway on the inside portion of the rough there was a pot hole unmarked I stopped deep into causing me to injure my ankle.
We finished the day and other than that not being marked and an unfortunate ankle injury.
Was a great day.
I would hope on a par 3 course there would be better maintenance and some sort of sprayed grass or plywood piece over it.
I worry about seniors and others stepping into this hole.
