Bighorn Golf & Country Club
About
Carved out of the sunny benchlands at the base of Mounts Peter and Paul, Bighorn Golf & Country Club (formerly known as Sun Rivers Golf Resort) is one of the few “true” desert courses in Canada. Designed by celebrated golf course architect Graham Cooke and Wayne Carleton, Bighorn is the essence of exceptional golf; offering dramatic elevation changes, sagebrush, natural sand dunes, classic bunkering, wide bentgrass fairways, gently contoured greens and majestic vista

A fun challenge
It’s a super fun course greens are more difficult to reach than they look, but it’s super fun and well maintained
Big Horned Sheep!
Very cool to see herds of big horn sheep around the course! They did not interfere with play at all. Loved our experience and the amazing views! The staff were cheerful and friendly! Greens and fairways were in good shape. The cart we were assigned was in rough shape. There were hills we didn’t know if it would make it up and it didn’t have a governor, so we were riding the brakes down the many steep hills. The seat was ripped up on the driver’s side. A challenging and fun course and a great day!
Slow pace & below average conditions.
No attempt was made to pick up the pace of play, 3 hours for the front 9. Conditions were not good either. Super disappointed.
Course conditions
Seems to be quite an improvement in course maintenance
Pin Placement- Greens
Pins were placed in Iron Man locations- confusing for sure. Greens were littered with Winter Kill- all other courses in Kamloops in this category are in excellent condition. It’s worth $60 for a cart and 18 no more no less.
Painfully slow
Womens night at the club, painfully slow round, waiting 10-15 on most tee boxes, no need for PGA tour putting protocol
Decent course but the staff was rude.
Restaurant was good
Challenging and fun!
Bighorn is not an easy course with gap shots, and tricky greens.
