Nice fairways and greens
Good value with Hot-deal, thru GolfNow
Nice course, (but needs signage)
The course was in great condition, the pace of play was very good.
They need to put out better signage. With no map on the scorecard, finding the next tee box was somewhat difficult (not only for us).
otherwise, we has an enjoyable experience.
A very nice course
Better signage as to where the next holes are would have made our experience better. We got “lost” twice.
Disappointing - Basics you find at all courses were not evident
For a course that charges $100 for a round, there were many things lacking that are at all other courses-
1) No map outline of the course on the scorecard.
2) No sign post at each hole with the hole number, the yardages from different tees, and an outline of the whole showing traps, water, etc. On several holes, the green is not visible from the tee or fairway. Upon coming over the crest of a hill, it was frustrating to see your ball in a bunker in front of the green that you did not know existed.
3) Every flag on the green was black and white, whether the pin was middle, front, or back, yet the score card said there were red, white, and blue pin placements.
After two holes, I went back to the pro shop to get some kind of an outline map of the course and was told there isn't one. I asked about individual hole signs and was told that " I think they have been ordered". Very disappointing.

Too many blind shots
Course is good but fairways are very narrow parts and you are unable to see them when making your next shot, consequently well executed shots end up in the rough. Also, the bunkers have very little sand over hardpan.
First time this year
Used to play this course quite regular years past. Always enjoyed it and then saw small changes that had an indication of the course having troubles. Unreliable carts, shortages of carts due to broken down carts, not accepting cash anymore although yesterday they did accept cash, no more bottled water. Small thing. No single riders on the carts, costs for the practice range? Wow!
And the price, WOW! Have the prices ever increased. Bought a rotary card for golfing. Your price is $75.00 for a round plus $28.00 for the cart. That’s $103.00 plus tax $105.00 plus. Sorry not going to happen. That’s way too much for the kind of course the Dunes is. Not worth it. The costs for the carts used to be $20.00.
Oh well there are many other courses for me to play.
Shuswap lake estates:$69.00
Big Horn: $55.00
Taking Rock: $85.00
The above prices include the carts. Using the Rotary Card.
Much more reasonable priced. So I’m thinking that there must have been a mistake when this was priced.
So, as the caption says first time this year, and probably the last time this year, will wait a see if the prices decrease if any. If so will play again next year. It’s up to you. I’m sure I’m not the only person to mention the prices.
Take care.
Best Round Of The Year
I really love the links style of this course. My 2 best rounds in the last 2 years have been at The Dunes. The fairways and greens are always in good shape considering our dry climate. Always a good value on Golf Now.
Nice track in good shape
Nice course, got a golf pass rate of 49$ per golfer, cart was 56$ for seats, had to wait to get one as they were having a tournament that day.
Enjoyed the round, no issues
Great Shape
Course was in great shape and the pace of play was on point.
Nice links course
Overall technical and fun. The day was marred when we had a pair drive right into us as the two men drove from the reds right into us then decided to make a scene when we parked our carts within what they perceived as to close to the green. Followed by overseeing us as we tried to finish our hole. Not the nicest way to enjoy golf for sure. Would we come back yes. But hopefully not any where near these two fellows.
That being said the team who worked at the course were helpfully and friendly.
Signage
There were no signs at the tees with yardages, etc and the proshop had no scorecards. No beverage cart.
Otherwise a good experience.
An up and down round
Enjoyed our round at the Dunes. The course was fairly wide open, but if you missed the fairways, the dunes may make you pay with a difficult lie for your next shot. The course was in good shape and pace of play was good, but could have been better as the group in front was clearly overmatched on the course and we waited on about 12 holes. Would happily play again.
