About
Arrowsmith Golf & Country Club is an executive layout that was designed for year-round play. The layout features smooth greens that are large and undulating, with an average of at least three tiers and rolling fairways that are lined with trees. Between the towering trees, golfers can catch scenic glimpses of Mount Arrowsmith and Echo Valley. A majority of the holes are par 3s but there are two par 5s and three par 4s mixed in. The signature hole is the par-3 12th, which starts off from an elevated tee that is perched 40 feet above the green. Although the golf course provides a good challenge, it can still be finished within three hours. In addition to offering a beautifully manicured course, Arrowsmith also boasts a grass driving range, a practice bunkers, and two putting greens.

Good getting out
Great little course. Staff are friendly and helpful. Course has some soggy spots, but over all in good shape. Great course to walk. Micky J's has fabulous food nice atmosphere great staff.
Fun course
It was great to be able to play 18 holes in just over 3 hours. Even though it is only a par 62 course you can use every club in your bag. As a former greenskeeper I understand the difficulty of keeping par 3's smooth for putting, the greenskeeper here is doing a good job of this even with the very wet conditions. We also were happy to be able to easily walk this course.
Severe Weather Warnings Won't Stop Us
We played Arrowsmith on a day with a Severe Weather Warning for 50-70kph winds and torrential rain. It didn't end up being as bad as they predicted but it certainly added an element of difficulty to the course. We essentially had the course to ourselves as most sane people stayed home that day. Even with so much rain, we had a great time. Some tee boxes were flooded, a few fairways were soggy and a few greens had saturated patches that all but stopped the ball rolling, but based on the conditions, I'm amazed it played as well as it did. This is my favourite course to work on the middle of my bag. Lots of par 3s to work on irons, uphill, downhill, plus a few par 4s and 5s so you can let the big dog eat. One of the friendliest Pro Shop staffs I've had the pleasure of dealing with. If we lived closer, a membership would be a no-brainer.
Golf in December
What else can you say. 18 holes of golf in December!! Weather was beautiful and course was in pretty good shape considering it is December. Always great fun at Arrowsmith.
Great Little Course
I really love this course, it's made me a better shortgame player and the pace, the conditions and overall value make it a true island gem.
Greatest Little Golf Course on Vancouver Island
We have played this course many times over the years we have lived on the Island. It is a great course for couples as it is of moderate difficulty. If we lived closer to the course we would be members. The patio and restaurant are very good, staff has always been super, the food is your good stick to your ribs pub food. All around a very nice place to play and stay afterwards for a meal.
You gotta play and eat here!!!
Beautiful course, the scenery is great and the course is in excellent shape. I would recommend it to any one.
Winter Golf
All four of us have played this course a number of times before. We most often do so in the shoulder seasons. This allows us to work on our irons while still having some challenging play in a reasonable amount of time often in less than ideal weather.
The course is well maintained with the except of a few greens. Most holes you are either shooting up hill or down. On this day the course was very busy but we did not have to wait on any tee box. A lovely setting. Would encourage you to give the course a try.
Despite being late October, course was clean of leaves and was in great shape overall. Nice layout. A par 61 but with 3 par 5s.
Good late season shape
Although the greens had been punched about 3 weeks earlier, they were still a bit rough, which I would chalk up to the unseasonably colder temperatures which we have had this fall. But the rest of the course was in good late season shape.
The pro shop staff were as usual very professional and personable and the staff in the restaurant were friendly as is the norm for this course.
We had an enjoyable, although chilly day.
