About
Guildford Golf & Country Club has long been known as one of the finest courses British Columbia has to offer. The golf course is located in Surrey, just across the U.S. border from Washington and less than 40 minutes from Vancouver. The scenic layout has fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are large and undulating. There are also creeks that weave across the golf course and numerous lakes that come into play. The layout has a classic design that still provides a challenge for all skill levels. Golfers are put to the test right away on the first two holes, a par 4 and a par 3 respectively, which require good course management and thoughtful decision making. Guilford's standout hole though, is the signature 16th. This tough par 3 is modeled after the notorious 12th hole at Augusta National, complete with a stone bridge and water hazard that encircles almost the entire green.

Over my expectation
Fairways are little dry but better than so many other courses in Vancouver. Really good condition overall of No rain ☔️ in summer. And green are very smooth too. I just played a public course in Vancouver yesterday which was very very Dry and many fairways were No grass too. Guildford are way better. So I will play here again next week .
Guildford Golf Course review
Not much can be done about the odd course design. Luckily we played with a regular who told us where to hit. Otherwise we would have hit it in the wrong places. Power lines, proximity of road/cars and road noise emergency vehicles/trucks was not peaceful. Course condition was reasonable with the weather we’ve had. Staff was great! Restaurant waitress great! Weird table set up! Felt like a cafeteria!
Very slow
Marshal present on course, but need to do more. Proactively find and address groups playing slow.
Poor operation
1. I understand the weekends full tee time participants but I had a longest round ever, it took us too much hours to finish.
2. Main reason for the delay was slow players. They were too slow and all the players behind needed an adjustment from Marshall.
Some players from our behind had to leave on 14 because of the delay.
This was very poor operation.
3. Last but not least, many kids and families took a walk on fairways, and also at the green on the 17 and 18th hole. This is also an unacceptable and I have never seen this kind of scenery before.
The staff really need something to do about the slow play and an intruder during the play.

Took a group of four to play in 4hours
No wait on tees
But it was super. Early tee time so that’s why no waiting
Guildford golf course
The pro shop charged more than the GolfNow booking and charged for the pull cart? Last time was not charged for the pull cart. Course needs more bathrooms and benches to sit on. Pace of play is terrible and we waited at every hole to tee off. This course needs better management.
