A course with more potential to unlock

I found time to squeeze in about 16 holes on this evolving and intriguing course on a whirlwind trip to Atlantic Canada that included Fox Harb'r and Cabot Cape Breton. I arrived late in the afternoon and tried to whip around the course quickly, but I had to skip a couple holes to make it happen. When the winds kicked up, it was easy to quit with a nice meal waiting at Fox Harb'r about 15 minutes down the road. When Hurricane Fiona blew through the course's forested holes a few years ago, taking down loads of trees, the club decided to embrace a more linksy vibe, a transition that's ongoing. The revamped par-3 13th hole could be considered a contender for the most scenic hole in Nova Scotia with its views of the Northumberland Strait. The course sports a mom-and-pop feel that's endearing. It provides a great change of pace and more affordable round than the high-end ambiance and price tag at Fox Harb'r.

Nova Scotia Hidden Gem - a must play!

This golf course is regarded by locals as unquestionably one of the best tracks in Nova Scotia. Lightning-quick, firm, greens are arguably the most challenging in the province. It is extremely well cared for by a devoted staff. The four link-style holes along the waters of the Northumberland Strait offer tremendous views and photo opportunities; especially the signature #4, Par 3. The course winds back through a lovely wooded area before concluding with three difficult finishing holes. Wind plays a significant part in the play of this course; every round unique as a result. A solid game off the tee (of which there are five sets for all level of golfers), well placed iron shots, and feel for the greens will reward the player. Well placed sand and water hazards on every hole offer fair play. The fairways are reasonably wide with no worry of hitting into any housing development; there is not a house in play. Staff is friendly and attentive, and attempt to ensure reasonable pace of play. Do not miss the clubhouse deck and restaurant/bar after the round. The menu, although not extensive, offers delicious daily specials for everyone at reasonable prices.

Don’t be distracted by the hype of the other big name courses in the province; this is a must play and great value for the money.

links on the ocean

We liked everthing about this track ! 4 links style holes along the Northhumberlad Striaghts , awesome ! They keep that links feel through the parkland holes by keeping the hills around the rolling greens short cut ( rolled ) allowing for long putt attemps from well off the greens and this gives us all

" hope" . The greens are done just right , running true and fast . I"ll be back ,and bring friends!

Congratulations Turff services you must be proud .

Great greens and tees that require strategic shot placement to score well.

The greens are the most frequently discussion point after play. Very enjoyable course and the staff are among the friendliest around. Traps are in the right places (unfortunately) and the fairways are well maintained. Great value and worth the drive to the shore.

really fun course with great staff

We go every spring (late May) for a buddies trip and the course is always fun and the staff always great and accommodating. when the wind picks up off the Strait, the course can be challenging. The greens are usually quick.
