Sun Was Shining!
Great Fall for golfing. Even after a heavy rain the day before, the course was being worked on by the grounds staff in the morning. The leaves add even more character to the course but all greens were excellent. Definitely in tune with Mother Nature.
Challenging doglegs.
A most enjoyable course. Mature trees line the well maintained fairways that offer challenging doglegs.
Mature trees line many interesting dog legged fairways. Old school challenging course.
All the challenge you could ask for. Lots of interesting holes, asking for draws and fades if you have them. One of my favourite courses in the area. Friendly staff.
V nice Greens
i found this course to v nice i recomend any one in the are to try it will not be disaponited
Enjoyable
Nice course, well maintained, quiet, big old trees, enjoyable outing
excellent
very well maintained. hazards include the road running thru the course so avoid the cars.
This course has very open and forgiving fairways
The course has a lot of long holes and the fairways are wide enough to make it very enjoyable for the average golfer. The course is very flat which makes it an easy walk. The layout of the course makes it easy to find your way from hole to hole. I have played this course several times in the last two years and it is always well maintained. Not overly challenging, but enjoyable.
Fairways and greens are in need of attention.
The fairways and greens are in need of attention but the course was average in difficulty. Staff were friendly and cordial. The speed of play was good with little to no wait time.
Very unhappy
We usually love this course and have played it many times. Things have been going down hill over the past few visits. This particular visit, we were hindered by slow play in front of us. We attempted to approach them and hint towards their slow play but they dismissed us and said they were being held up so they were not going to hurry up because there was no where to go. (there was at least a hole and a half in front of them.) There was a 4-some in front of them but they were not playing slow and the gap was getting larger after every hole. On top of or maybe the cause of their slow play, they were both playing 2 balls. We teed off on our reserved tee time and immediately on the 2nd hole had to wait for them. Not just off the tee, on pretty much every shot. We attempted on a couple of the shorter holes to let them get ahead of us but much to our amazement, even after taking our time, we still had to wait. After 9 holes, I stopped at the club house and talked to the guy in there and explained the problem and told him the course needs a marshal out there to regulate these things, he pretty much dismissed me by saying, "ahh well hope your back nine goes better." He wasn't rude but he didn't seem to care. I am very disappointing because Roundel Glen is one of my favorite courses in the area but I would be hard pressed to go back there anytime soon!!
enjoyed playing the course found some of the par 4s long for the average golfer
Would play again some interesting holes that I would play different next time.
The course is very well maintained.
The course is very well maintained and looked after. It's well watered and is a great course to play.
Challenging course managment...you better have control over your flight. Greens in excellent condition. Really good value course
My Summary says it all. Great course even if they charged more.
terrible course
We waited 10 minutes in the pro shop while the shop attendant completed a personal call. The pro shop carries the bare minimum so come prepared! Course is in terrible condition. Fairway is long and the rough is terrible. There is little to no water drainage on the course, thus making it a swamp after a days rain. The only highlite was driving the golf carts thru the puddles. Will never play again.
