Westview Golf Club - Lakeland/Middle

It was our first time playing the course and enjoyed the layout, but when the round ended we were in the parking lot getting ready to leave and were approached by staff that were very derogatory and demeaning.

Without asking any information about why our round took almost 5 hours they attacked us personally. Saying were were idiots and ridiculous and disrespectful of the other golfers.

firstly there was no Marshall to monitor speed of play.

Secondly they paired us up with a couple of Korean tourists that were not very good golfers and were actually a little slow.

Thirdly, the front nine we waited at at least 5 holes as there was a threesome in front of us that did not hit very far and we had to wait on tee and in fairway so they were out a safe distance.

we actually took this in stride and resigned ourself to the fact that it was going to be a long round without a Marshall and take in the beautiful scenery and give a good Canadian welcome to our foreign tourists.

we tried to explain this to the staff with just negative responses and said we were barred from golfing this course ever again.

It has definitely put a bad taste in our mouth about the staff not the course.

I am not saying all of the staff. The restaurant was great and i have to shout out to the fellow that approached us after the incident and apologized for the behavior of his colleagues and listened to our explanation of the event that resulted in a long round that finished in a pretty dark 18th hole.

in my opinion, the staff should be reprimanded for their behavior as the main cause of the delay was their management of the day but it is a public course and i understand that pace of play cannot be guaranteed but so should they.

The course is in amazing shape. It is challenging, without being punishing. Really enjoyed playing there.

Overall, course was decent...I would classify it as an above average city course. We played Middle and Homestead. Middle was better in my opinion as the holes were nicer and more interesting...Homestead was plain. Everything was fine...we had a good time. One recommendation would be to upgrade the sand in bunkers. They were very hard and not indicative of how a typical sand shot should play

Booked a tee time and paid and went to the range. The worker at the front desk accused us of stealing range balls for no reason and urged us to take a refund and leave. We were ready to play but the arrogance of the front desk worker lost them business.

Every shot is uphill it seems it's a great test of golf tough to walk unless you're in good shape. I highly recommend it.

We love this course now... I now our favourite course. It will be a challenge to improve our score.

The grounds were beautiful. The course was in excellent condition. Very organized. Will return.
