Heritage Hills Golf Club
About
Heritage Hills Golf Club, conveniently located just minutes from downtown Barrie, has an interesting layout that features a combination of wide open, links-style holes and holes framed by mature forest. Although there are numerous strategically placed bunkers and swales, there are also generous landing areas that make it accessible to players of all skill levels. Willow Creek winds through the hilly landscape, offering beautiful scenery. Heritage Hills Golf Club’s greens are large and undulating, and there is the occasional double-tiered green. Although there is only one distinct water hazard, which is on the 12th, the course requires many demanding carries over the creek. Heritage Hills also offers a grass range with target greens and a practice putting green for golfers to use.

Windy Windy Day
A nice layout that today played unusually difficult due to heavy winds and very cool temps. The course was in excellent shape and the round was played quickly.
Once again disappointed
We have given Heritage Hills too many chances to improve on the experience and they have fallen down yet again. It'a too bad as they are the closest course to where we live. We have played this course 5 or 6 times this year including the very first say we were allowed to get out due to Covid.
Since we are primarily week end players due to work, we expect some slow play but each time has been brutal. Obviously you deal with the occasional golfer or group but it seems they are more interested in pushing through as many as possible with no regard for those who really want to play.
Yesterday was the last time I will play as we had 3 groups waiting on every tee, groups who obviously couldn't play or keep pace and those more interested in the beer cart than the game.
Even after we raised concerns at the turn, there were no marshalls and nothing was done to improve the pace. There are too many other courses out there to continue spending hard earned dollars at Heritage Hills.
Hidden Gem
Really fun course to play, and very challenging! Picturesque course in the rolling hills of Oro-Medonte...really enjoyed the layout, the different elevations and raveens, and you definitely need to use every club in the bag to get through this one! Will be a regular here for sure!
COVID update from oct 2
Just to add to my review earlier, if you read the courses on Covid guidelines it says right there one player per cart. So two strangers in one cart is a clear violation of the guidelines… ...So I cannot recommend this course as long as they’re not following the guidelines. This we all should be taking very seriously!
Covid
Got there, was told I would be hooking up with somebody else on the same cart, there are plastic barriers separating the two players but with the fear of Covid two strangers on the same cart is not good heath practice Despite the fact of plastic barrier this is absolutely unsafe and unhealthy and not good customer service I was willing to pay for a cart myself but was refused and was told that they were too busy to give carts out as a single, before teeing off I looked around and there were at least two dozen+ extra carts When I finished there were still two dozen carts extra they could’ve given me my own cart no problem. It wasn’t that busy.It turned out lucky enough that the guy I was playing with was walking. As long as they offer carts with plastic barrier for two strangers I would not play this course.. One’s health is far too important than one golf course
Nice golf course .
I have review this course before. Some holes are very challenging spacially when is wet.
Wet day
The day we played had been lots of rain the days before. Lots of puddles on the fairways and all of the bunkers were unplayable. Overall good day except for the driving rain holes 3, 4 and 5. A little slow I think some people may have stopped playing when rains came and then started again
