Heritage Hills Golf Club
About
Heritage Hills Golf Club, conveniently located just minutes from downtown Barrie, has an interesting layout that features a combination of wide open, links-style holes and holes framed by mature forest. Although there are numerous strategically placed bunkers and swales, there are also generous landing areas that make it accessible to players of all skill levels. Willow Creek winds through the hilly landscape, offering beautiful scenery. Heritage Hills Golf Club’s greens are large and undulating, and there is the occasional double-tiered green. Although there is only one distinct water hazard, which is on the 12th, the course requires many demanding carries over the creek. Heritage Hills also offers a grass range with target greens and a practice putting green for golfers to use.

A neat mix of links and park park golf.
A natural beauty with beautiful vistas. A little rough around the edges- but that was part of its charm. For a young course it shows a lot of maturity. The fairways were well thought out and accented the landscape instead of butchering it. The course intermingles highland golf with park golf. It's not overly challenging, but if you don't pay attention in does have teeth. The greens were crazy but rolled true- lots pf fun. Special props to Les the starter who made my wife totally comfortable from the beginning.
Good but not great, Slow pace of Play on weekends
Good but not great, Slow pace of Play on weekends.
Course well layed out
Course is well layed out and kept in good condition. Need to marshall the course better to speed up play.
Open fairways with huge fast/difficult greens. The wind plays a factor, especially on the back nine.
Links style fairways are wide open with ample hazards including water, sand, and foliage areas. Huge greens make your approach very friendly, but the speed and hills on the greens make them very difficult.
excellent facility, great greens
The course is very well maintained, the staff is very friendly. The greens are in amazing shape and roll true.
Heritage Hills
The course itself is in great condition. Greens are in excellent shape and are challenging. There needs to be some time spent on the cart paths themselves as they are rough.
half parkland , half links style
A good overall layout and a variety of hole shapes. Terraine is undulating . Greens are fast and hilly, your work does not end when your on,its just starting again.
well maintained course, excellent value for your money.
Nice course with some challenging holes. Super friendly staff both inside and outside.
Will definitely play again soon.
Beautiful course
Heritage hills is great if you can get a good deal but the regular green fees are too much for here. Sand traps are bad. The sand is super hard and terrible. Overall good course I'd play here again for sure.
The course is like a links course , yet has some good holes with undulated greens.
I booked , expecting to play with a threesome, however I was told they had left early. I was there early and checked in at 10:12, tee off 10:32. I played the course by myself hitting 2 balls each hole. It was good for practice, however I am a very social type of person. My Garmin G6 does not show this course.
Course was in good shape.
Course was in good shape. Greens were a pleasure to put on, nice and fast.
Sleeping Giant
Really enjoyed our first ever round at Heritage Hills. Greeted by very cordial staff in the pro shop and on the first tee. The course is quite diverse, parkland front nine and open links style back. Personally preferred the front nine. Overall the course is in great shape, inparticular the greens, roll true and with good pace.
Definitely worth a revisit.
Great track...
Heritage Hills is in excellent condition with tough undulating greens but fair pin placements, unfortunately for me 3 putts were abundant. Excellent Driving range and putting green to get ready for the round. The course is quite picturesque and offers many great vistas. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pace of play was good and the beer reasonably priced, great hot dog or burger at the turn. The clubhouse is a 'portable' but well maintained and clean. check in excellent...
Great track, highly recommended and worth the drive to Barrie...
Love this course
This is one of the best courses in the area, Greens are always pristine, fairways well manicured and the perfect amount of challenge. Some easy holes, some very difficult and some that are just tricky to play. Great Course!
Great Value
This course is not well known as it has not promoted itself well and unless you know where it is , can be difficult to find. Having said that, the course itself is a combination tight fairways for the first nine combining with a links type course for the second nine. Multiple tee decks can increase the difficulty easily. Course was in very good shape and the price we paid through GolfNow made this a great value. This course is worth playing and will challenge even the Best golfers.
A Great Round
Nice weather, bit breezy, but it wasn't hot. Quite e few wet spots on the course, due to rains in the last few days. Greens were in great shape, with interesting pin placements. Like a lot of other courses, the 1st cut could be spruced up, especially on the day, Sunday, when courses charge the most. The tee boxes were softer, I could actually get a 3 1/2" tee into the ground, a nice change, but thats due to the rain. Overall a good round on a great day with good friends.
course in Great shape
Enjoyed playing 18 and the course was in great shape --staff was very friendly
Heritage Hills Barrie Ontario
due to all the recent rain course was in pretty good shape - rained very hard and was issued with a rain check for 9 holes - no questions asked - hope to play many rounds at this course
a good variety of interesting holes
Played on 31/5/13with a 12.32 pm tee time. Arrived early and was able to start before booked time. Starter was good to point out cautions of soft fairways on the first 4 fairways due to recent rainfalls in area. The opening 4 holes are narrow tree lined ones that will test you from the opening shot. Once out of the trees a good mixture of doglegs, changes in elevation with wind will continue to make the round interesting but fair. The back nine continues with changes in elevation but is more open to the blowing wind with water on some holes. The fairways and rough were well manicured and green. Sand traps average condition but good given recent rainfalls. The multi level rolling greens with the days pin placements made it a challenge putting. The greens rolled well and were in great condition. Being a hot humid day it was good to see the beverage cart often.
