Heritage Hills Golf Club
About
Heritage Hills Golf Club, conveniently located just minutes from downtown Barrie, has an interesting layout that features a combination of wide open, links-style holes and holes framed by mature forest. Although there are numerous strategically placed bunkers and swales, there are also generous landing areas that make it accessible to players of all skill levels. Willow Creek winds through the hilly landscape, offering beautiful scenery. Heritage Hills Golf Club’s greens are large and undulating, and there is the occasional double-tiered green. Although there is only one distinct water hazard, which is on the 12th, the course requires many demanding carries over the creek. Heritage Hills also offers a grass range with target greens and a practice putting green for golfers to use.

Sleeping Giant
Really enjoyed our first ever round at Heritage Hills. Greeted by very cordial staff in the pro shop and on the first tee. The course is quite diverse, parkland front nine and open links style back. Personally preferred the front nine. Overall the course is in great shape, inparticular the greens, roll true and with good pace.
Definitely worth a revisit.
Great track...
Heritage Hills is in excellent condition with tough undulating greens but fair pin placements, unfortunately for me 3 putts were abundant. Excellent Driving range and putting green to get ready for the round. The course is quite picturesque and offers many great vistas. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pace of play was good and the beer reasonably priced, great hot dog or burger at the turn. The clubhouse is a 'portable' but well maintained and clean. check in excellent...
Great track, highly recommended and worth the drive to Barrie...
Love this course
This is one of the best courses in the area, Greens are always pristine, fairways well manicured and the perfect amount of challenge. Some easy holes, some very difficult and some that are just tricky to play. Great Course!
Great Value
This course is not well known as it has not promoted itself well and unless you know where it is , can be difficult to find. Having said that, the course itself is a combination tight fairways for the first nine combining with a links type course for the second nine. Multiple tee decks can increase the difficulty easily. Course was in very good shape and the price we paid through GolfNow made this a great value. This course is worth playing and will challenge even the Best golfers.
A Great Round
Nice weather, bit breezy, but it wasn't hot. Quite e few wet spots on the course, due to rains in the last few days. Greens were in great shape, with interesting pin placements. Like a lot of other courses, the 1st cut could be spruced up, especially on the day, Sunday, when courses charge the most. The tee boxes were softer, I could actually get a 3 1/2" tee into the ground, a nice change, but thats due to the rain. Overall a good round on a great day with good friends.
course in Great shape
Enjoyed playing 18 and the course was in great shape --staff was very friendly
Heritage Hills Barrie Ontario
due to all the recent rain course was in pretty good shape - rained very hard and was issued with a rain check for 9 holes - no questions asked - hope to play many rounds at this course
a good variety of interesting holes
Played on 31/5/13with a 12.32 pm tee time. Arrived early and was able to start before booked time. Starter was good to point out cautions of soft fairways on the first 4 fairways due to recent rainfalls in area. The opening 4 holes are narrow tree lined ones that will test you from the opening shot. Once out of the trees a good mixture of doglegs, changes in elevation with wind will continue to make the round interesting but fair. The back nine continues with changes in elevation but is more open to the blowing wind with water on some holes. The fairways and rough were well manicured and green. Sand traps average condition but good given recent rainfalls. The multi level rolling greens with the days pin placements made it a challenge putting. The greens rolled well and were in great condition. Being a hot humid day it was good to see the beverage cart often.
It's a great course to play, if u haven't played it be4.
The course is in great shape and the greens r firm. The pace was slow, we had to wait on a lot of holes. I was very surprised on how busy this course was on a Friday. Their membership has increased over the last few years and I could tell by playing this course. Hopefully it won't be that busy the next time I play this course.
good course for price
greens have character. generally large with undulations to make your putts interesting. lots of variety and recommend play blues if you're looking for a challenge but do not want to hurt yourself.
also relatively easy to walk.
Challenging enough from the blues and tough from the blacks. Well kept and fun to play.
Great value for money. Course is in fine shape, people are friendly and the pace of play excellent. Can't ask for better than that.
needs a club house
The course played really well after getting alot of rain in the early morning.Greens were in excellent shape, very fast (even wet) and huge easy to hit .
set in trees, very nice
overall nice course, bit tough certain holes. would play again.
Overall good condition, but hard to find balls in rough, even if you see it land!
Greens in good condition. Fairways in good condition. Keep your balls out of the rough, grass is way too long to find it, even if you see it land! This slows down play on the back nine!
This course has great features.
I play this course often and it is my favourite in the Barrie area. The staff are great and the course is great. It may not have a real clubhouse but the course is always in good condition. For the hot deal prices it is well worth a round.
Very busy course on Monday's due to golf deals, which we were unaware of.
Very busy day at the course as they had a $30 special for 1 round plus a replay.
Not sure I would play again on a Monday at Heritage.
Greens very good for amount of play - fairways hard and tees quite beat up.
every hole is different
great course, freindly staff , pace of play was to long ,marshall should have push groups -2 holes open ahead of the group ahead of us 5 1/2 hour round
This course offers excellent value for money
Heritage Hills offers all levels of golfers a challenge. Although quite open in places, the fairways are lined with either mature trees or thick tufted grass which discourage entry and reward good play. The greens are beautifully contoured with unpredictable undulations often unseen from the approach. The staff are exceedingly friendly, the course well maintained and although the clubhouse facilities are basic, they are adequate. I doubt you will find better value for money in this area than at Heritage Hills. It is well worth driving for upto an hour to experience this course and the Fall colours are a wonderful add on!
tough greens
the course was in good condition for the time of the year.
the greens aregreat place to get a good deao tough and very ungelated
Good variety of challenges
The course's variety encourages the use of all your clubs and yet is very playable by a wide range of skill levels. The staff is extremely friendly and make you feel like it is your home course. It can be walked but a cart will likely add to your enjoyment.
That's not a Monday deal. It is a special that they ran through UnderPar. How rude of a course to have a full tee sheet when YOU are playing. The nerve of some owner/operators having a busy day.
