Heritage Hills Golf Club

About
Heritage Hills Golf Club, conveniently located just minutes from downtown Barrie, has an interesting layout that features a combination of wide open, links-style holes and holes framed by mature forest. Although there are numerous strategically placed bunkers and swales, there are also generous landing areas that make it accessible to players of all skill levels. Willow Creek winds through the hilly landscape, offering beautiful scenery. Heritage Hills Golf Club’s greens are large and undulating, and there is the occasional double-tiered green. Although there is only one distinct water hazard, which is on the 12th, the course requires many demanding carries over the creek. Heritage Hills also offers a grass range with target greens and a practice putting green for golfers to use.

So slow
Got to 15th hole and there was a total of 5 groups on that hole
Hire a Marshall
Played here numerous times. It’s a good course for the money. Unfortunately this time the tee decks looked like they haven’t been cut for over a week. The player’s assistant needs to do a better job with moving slower players along. I understand everyone plays a different pace but when there are open holes in front where is the players assistant to see why there is no flow….
Needs better management
Staff inside were great and friendly!
Not enough carts. Asked to wait 30 minutes for carts to return. When we received one, the steering was broken.
Slow twosomes backed all the groups. There's no marshal to ask them to keep pace.
On one par 4 hole, there were 3 groups backed up by the slow play. A single player squeezed in front of each of the group. A marshal would have prevented it.
Challenging
Challenging and very interesting course layout, fun course to play. My only complaint is that the maintenance could be better on the fairways and bunkers but I would definitely play here again
purchased a hot deal. very friendly person greeted on arrival. no one teeing off so let us out early. range was closed before we teed off. tees were fair, fairways good, greens good, however had a lot of lines running through them. did the front nine in 1.5 hrs as a twosome. ran into groups on the back nine but still only 2 hours. excellent price for a cart. not a 5 star course but still nice.
First and last visit
This was the worst most disorganized round I’ve ever had. The course was booking rounds with carts even though they had no carts as there was a tournament apparently in the morning. They were an hour behind in tee time going off due to waiting for carts to come back in off the course, the poor starter was left to try and deal with the situation as the pro shop was telling groups just to line up at the putting green. On top of all of this they were letting the wasted staff that had worked the morning shift go out and play mixing them in with groups. Definitely not worth the $75 or the headaches when there are so many nicer courses to play in the area.
Good Times!
Had the opportunity to play Heritage Hills this week with a buddy. First time playing the track. We played a twilight round of 9 holes and we started on the back 9 which has more of a links inspired design. The course was in good shape for the season. The layout presented your typical golf course challenges. The greens were in excellent shape and the slope made for tougher putting. My only knock is the Sand Traps weren't great on some holes.
This course had a great layout with many different challenges.
