Very poorly managed
The course is in fairly poor condition but we aren’t expecting anything amazing. We enjoy fluid and paced golf something that is impossible in this course. Unfortunately, management struggles with tee time bookings and organizing their costumers so the course doesn’t get clogged up. Enjoyed playing golf but didn’t enjoy the course
disappointing
Since Golf north has taken over this course just consistently goes downhill. There was no grass on most of the tees. The fairways were more dirt or weeds than grass. There was no warning that they aerated the greens. Even for what we paid it was too much for the value we received. I played this course when it was owned by the firefighter and it was always in great condition and could be again if a little bit of money was spent to keep it up. Co-vid is not an excuse when I have played other courses in the area and they were in great condition. Just too bad because I always enjoyed it when it was kept up.
Great Round with New Swing
I was able to try my new swing especially with my irons and scored an 86, still working on short game. Nice wide fairways. Great placement of the pins on the green.
The greens were ok, but needed some TLC, it is the time of year for airration so gotta live with it. Great partner pairing made it challenging and fun.
value for the money
Aerated greens
Even though the greens have been aerated I still enjoyed the round...pace of play was fantastic...2.5 hours walking
Poorly maintained course
Course was not well maintained at all. Shooting off dirt tees for most holes. The aeration on the holes had a huge impact on putts and threw off the lines big times. The holes had these metal stoppers for COVID and they are above the level of the green in some spots and they would prevent your ball going in to the point where it bounced out. Couldn't tell if you actually sunk your putt or not. Should use pool noodles like other courses so you can actually sink your putt.
Good course for practicing a straighter shot.
This is a great course for amateurs to beginners, it also seems to attract those groups of golfers. That being said, the tee and course conditions aren’t the greatest in the area. So don’t expect any immaculate course conditions. Every time I’ve been it seemed a fair bit windy blowing a bit of dirt and sand around the course. Around hole 3 it usually gets a fair bit backed up as well so bring your patience with you.
Other than that it’s a great course for working on your accuracy. The fairways are fairly skinny and the holes are on the smaller side. Make no mistake if you struggle with consistency in your strikes these harmless looking holes can take a turn and spit you out in rough places.
I would recommend this course to anyone who is working towards improving the accuracy and straightness of their strikes.
