Doon Valley Golf Club - 9-hole Course

Despite it being 5 degrees with no sign of frost for over 2 hours, the course remained on a frost advisory for three hours, essentially leading to mandatory cancellations of tee times, while at the same time Riveredge across the river was open for play. Not bothering booking here again, no heads-up from staff, not friendly, not interested.

We had a nice experience playing 9 holes at this well-maintained course with mature trees set on the Grand River. The downside is that it’s close to the highway for 5 holes. Overall a very good experience.

I went solo, and walked the classic 9. The greens were pristine and the course was well maintained. The course is pretty straight forward, which is great if you are just starting out. The first hole has an elevated tee which is a lot of fun. Only issue I have is the noise from the highway.
