Fun day at Beaverdale
Had an enjoyable round after being away from the game for 2 years! The course is in really good shape, and the staff were pleasant and very helpful with relaying the Covid-rules! Pace of play was great. Would return and recommend!
Great value
I liked this course, good price and I would go back
Mid morning round just what we needed
Staff very friendly and ensuring that physical rules being followed. Arrived 30 mins prior to round and was asked to stay at vehicle until stated 20 mins before round, which wasnt an issue for me at all.
Course was busy enough at 10am but no groups were bunching up. Golfing partner and I got paired with another 2 some and pace of play was good
. very professional staff and marshalls in dealing with the other 2 some about course infractions. Tight fairways on most holes can be challenge for some but enjoyed it.
Cost to play was competitive and enjoyed our round. Only negatives I have are some of the tee boxes are uneven but can be managed with ball placement and our power cart had to be restarted numerous times.
Will be back to play again definitely sometime this summer.
Really slow pace of play and bad hole layouts
Took four and a half hours to finish a round which made me miss my haircut :( Also hole 9 is the worst layout for a hole I’ve ever seen. The road with a four way intersection is right beside the green of the hole so if you shank your 5 iron left like my buddy, your praying to the heavens that it doesn’t hit a car.
Meh
Nothing to write home about. Tee blocks are awful and course is in just ok shape. There are better options out there.
Not worth the money
Definitely NOT worth the money. Cart was a piece of crap as well!!
Rediculous
6 hrs to do a round is rediculous.
Had people hitting off a tee when my son was in the fairway 30 yards from them.
The cost is way to high for this course.
3 sets on the tee blocks on most holes.
Very upset with the whole experience and most likely will not play there again.
Beaverdale
Busy busy on this count today. Five and six are par 3’s followed by a par five and backed up with 4 groups waiting on sixth tee
Slow front nine but faster on back
Greens smooth and hard but not as quick as expected.
Longest hole is 495 here. Few tight tee shots but pretty tame course if you hit fairways
As noted greens were firm and had several bounce through the green
Weather was good a bit cool but overall decent day. Did make it around in 4 1/2 hours in spite of waiting at every tee but 2
Old Faithful
This is our go to course for twilight golf. It seldom disappoints as it has a good mix of long and short holes. A few of the tee blocks were in rough shape but the greens were good as we're most of the fairways. Bring bug spray if you have never played here- you need it!
Good value
Just played this course on Sunday. Good value for a decent course. A few short par 3s, pace of play was ok, couple bottle neck areas and not sure of Marshall space out tee times properly. Overall, good course for intermediate players but I don’t think they should be charging the full price for carts as you have to ride solo. Cart costs should still be half
Suggestions, make 18 a par 5 rather then a par 3
And switch to electric carts. I payed full price for a cart that Had trouble starting up every time I got in.
Are you serious?
This is by far the worst grass patch I have ever set foot on. Every hole is four groups behind. The cart paths look like they are relics of ww2. The marshall scolded me for driving my cart three feet into the parking lot but never left his post to stop smoking in the lot. Not even the beavers want to gold beaverdale.
A little disappointed ....
After having not played this course for 20 years I was looking forward to playing there today. While the course was in reasonably good shape I couldn't help but notice that there has been little to no investment here for a long time. The cart paths are very rough , the tee blocks are all over the place ( didn't know if we were playing white , black or blue ? ) The 150 and 100 markers were hit and miss and where they did exist they were very small and difficult to see or determine color. At the half way point we paid $24 for 2 Beer and 2 Hot Dogs and the Hot Dogs were tough and hardly edible. The cart bridges on the course are poorly built and propped up with cinder block and rocks .. safety ? I remember this course fondly from years gone by but I won't be in a hurry to return there again.
