A quick round
After a heavy rain the day before, a few holes were soggy. Not a problem. Nobody in front or behind us the whole round. It took 3 hours to play, even with a quick stop after nine. Not a tough course. It’s fun, but I’d never play full price.
You better love Mosquitoes.
Booked a round for me and friends. Right away we found the staff dismissive and rude. While on the course we were constantly harassed by the marshal, who after two holes was telling us to pick up the pace. There was nobody on our back and we were a foursome following a twosome. We finished the round in under three hours but were approached by "Marshall Dillon" four times about slow play. We finished two holes ahead of the group behind us.
The Mosquitoes were crazy on every hole...every shot, everywhere. The bunkers are unplayable any the tee boxes hacked beyond on belief. The golfers seldom repair ball marks and love to leave cigarette buts on the very slow and long greens. The course is poorly laid out and on two occasions you have to walk in front of the tee blocks to get to the next tee block.
Not a course I would recommend to even the person I like least in my life.
Poor Experience
Very disorganized. We paid for carts and was told there were none left. Then they miraculously found some. We were told at the pro shop we could tee off whenever we are ready. Yet as soon as we head towards the first tee we were told to wait till our tee off time (20min). Carts are in rough shape. Bags don’t lock into back of carts so I lost my bag off the back several times. Lastly, at the end of our time we were forced off the carts because of a tournament that was about to start. We barely made it to the parking lot before having to quickly get our stuff and get out. I get it. There is a tournament about to start. But be organized. It is not that hard. I will not be golfing here again
Bad control of the pace of the course
There was a kids tournament being played before our tee time which was fine but the marshals were not controlling the pass of play . Our round took almost 6 hrs to play. We normally play this course in 4 to 5 hours on a very busy day. No indication before hand that there was a tournament going on before we booked or when we arrived that they were so far behind.
Good, quick round but not a challenging course
Course is in good shape although was pretty soggy the day we played due to rain the previous day. Layout is pretty easy but there are a few holes that are very close together and you'll constantly be ducking stray balls. We played early in the day and once we were free of a slow foursome (we were two), the pace was great. Course is usually pretty crowded so I don't tend to play here often. Price is low compared to some other courses.
ok
GOLF North needs to put some love into their courses.
Greens are horrible etc. but I know its early spring...but Puslinch greens are so good.
Value for money
Considering course was very wet in places, greens were in excellant condition, kudos to ground staff.
I like the idea of raking and placing in bunkers. It is fair to all golfers.
Pace of play was slow in places especially around front nine holes 4 and 5 and back nine holes 12, 13?and 14. Yes the par 3's.
value for money
I played in late October, course was in good shape.
no customer care here
First of all, some of the greens were aerated and not a word mentioned or an alert posted when booking. Then the leaves were pathetic on some holes and what would it take to run a lawn mower up and down for 10 minutes?.
It became even more of a poor experience when we went into the clubhouse at around 1PM to grab a bite and the kitchen was closed because its late in the year?????
The staff was good and friendly but their hands are tied and this course management needs a wake up call.
The only reason i said the course was somewhat challenging was because of the wind and the aerated greens
Weather was fantastic for late October. Some greens were aerated others were not. Price was great.
Overall a very pleasant day.
An enjoyable course only if
Needs a lot of improvement with the upkeep of the course. Soggy fairways and creeks and hazards needs to be marked. Staff are ok in dealing with patrons. Recommendable for easy playing with they havr special price but not at the full rate.
Sharpen your par 3 skills
A shorter course with more frequent par 3s. One area to speed up play - widen the fairway on #6. Could do it by changing the parallel ditch - run it underground thru a culvert. May need to then protect people on the 7th tee from wayward shots.
Need more guidance in a couple of places - for people who are playing without GPS.
Hole #9: what is the lay up yardage before the ditch in front of the green?
Hole #15: what is the maximum yardage you can hit on the dogleg on a straight shot?
Horrible
First time playing and will never play again, on hole 5 or 6 I thought I was gonna get hit with a ball, no privacy and fairways were like min roughs...
Meh
Second time playing here... it's just not a fun course. Tee boxes are horrible.
Thank you for taking the time to post your valuable feedback after playing our course.
As you can imagine, with the weather being as wonderful as it has been as of late, we have done our best to delay aerating this season. It is certainly a challenge to maintain areas where leaves may fall at all times during this season, we do our utmost to maintain playable conditions at all times. We understand that we did not do our best to meet your needs when it came to our menu offerings which have been modest, as is the case at this time of year when our closing date is just around the corner. Our half way house has a number of grab and go features offered at this time of year, which may not have been conveyed to you and we apologize for that.
We are always grateful for your feedback, please allow us the opportunity to talk to you about this further. We can be reached at 1-888-833-8787 extension 101, thank you.
Thank you,
