Brookfield Country Club - Gold

The marshal accused my threesome of bringing our own alcohol and not buying it on the course. We were three young guys just looking forward to playing some golf and no alcohol was needed for that. We won’’t be back.

Had a lovely time, the staff is always so friendly and helpful. Love playing here, great atmosphere

Course was in decent condition. It was a very busy day but moved along decently. However, on our back 9, the Marshall was around saying there he was “told” to check our group by the front to see if we brought in our own alcohol. None of us were drinking, and then proceeded to tell us he needed to go through our bags to check. Even during COVID19 this is unacceptable, and I let him know that I’ve never been treated like this on a golf course. There was no alcohol, and we finished our round. Pretty disgusted with this place, and will never go back.

Course is a little short (1 par 5) and fairways are close together. Course is in reasonable shape given the extended lacl of rain.

We got in on a hot deal, and we walked. So good value for a decent course. If you are a scratch golfer and used to high price country clubs, you may be disappointed. But for us humans its a nice course.

Good course for working on your irons and short game. Wide open fairways with forgiving trees (trimmed high) along the sides. Not much water nor were the traps problematic. Tee off at 12:30 and had one group in front of us for the front 9 and no one behind us.

Would play this course again.

Their twilight rate is very high when comparing it to near by courses. The main reason for such a low rating was the treatment we recieved from the marshals. It was myself and 3 others one beginner. After two holes we were scolded for being too slow when we were at average pace. Out of anger the marshal then told the two behind us to pass us and "not dilly dally" while we were putting on the green. So we finished our hole to watch their tee shots then waited untill they were a decent distance. Enough time elapsing during the wait for another group to be promptly behind us. Effectiviely negating that power trip of a move. We were all for letting the two pass and we even talked to the two them after they passed and they referred to the marshal in a poor context that I will not repeat. The entire situation should of been dealt with more respect and less disrespect. We are all just here for a good time not to be constantly nagged and watched by a marshal when no golfer has a problem. Not going back and informing my friends to not as well.

The course was in decent shape though the layout was flawed and the course short even from the blues. You were immeduately made to feel like a criminal with repeated warnings about covid rules and apparent kaos in the parking lot. My friends and I have played at least 30 rounds during covid restrictions and have never been made to feel that way before. We won't be back.

Pace of play was great (3 hours and 10 minutes for 18 holes gold/blue), the holes are not overly challenging but fairways and greens are in good condition. The only thing I would change would have been to walk, it's was $28 for a single rider on power cart. Overall, good experience.
