Beaverdale, Meh 🫤
Try any other course in south western Ontario. You’ll be happy you didn’t go to Beaverdale.
Course was decent but..
Overall a course that's easy enough on the pocket book that is in decent shape .. tee boxes are rough but the rest was OK.the constant cross crossing of holes was a bit odd but I'm sure the geography has alot to do with that.
The course is heavily overbooked 8 min tee times cause a major delay especially all it takes is one slower group to cause a delay at one point we waited almost 45min on the 17th tee box and decided to leave and not finish the last 2 holes
If they spaced the groups out a touch more it would probably Eliminate all the delays that way the pace of play would stay where it should be overall not drastically upset with it just would be nice to see tweaks to properly manage round times
Beaverdale wastew
Carts were horrible. felt like they were literally falling apart under us.
despise not being able to take cart to car to get and unload clubs. hauling a heavy golf bag to the Cart area very hard at my age
greens were poor, wouldnt hold a shot at all. even sky high wedges would not stop. all would roll off.
very tight course(tee boxes right behind or beside previous greens, dangerous in my opinion thankfully i had a cheap pass but even with that i am doubtful i will be back
Only good as last resort
Course is not maintained. If it’s busy you will be waiting at every tee box. Tee times don’t really matter here, seems like people start when they want. Only gets one star because there’s always tee times open (probably because of the above reasons)
Great course for it's size.
Overall, was happy with the course itself, but the tee boxes leave something to be desired - they are in quite rough shape. Most players do not seem to replair their divots onthe greens either.
OVERSOLD & NO MARSHALL
Had to wait 30 minutes after tee time to launch. There was no staff to ensure people were teeing off in the proper order or moving forward in a timely fashion. Delays at every tee off. Got to 6th hole to see 2 groups on the fairway and 3 in queue to tee off. Had enough. Went back to clubhouse and got refund.
Go play anywhere else
Don't waste your money on a course that doesn't care to level their tee boxes. Every single one was like hitting off the back of a hump back whale. Not even an inch of dirt to hit off of. Fairways were patchy and rough. Greens were in decent shape but again lacked any care to fix major sunken holes. Was bitten alive throughout the round by mosquitoes and flies. The layout of the course is actually laughable. 200 yard par 4.... This is a par 3 course in disguise that separates groups by 8 minutes and charges a premium. 4 groups were waiting on the first tee block before we could even tee off 20 minutes late. Never going back.
Terrible Shape
Cows wouldn't even want to be on this course. Worse than a cows pasture. Tee blocks were horrendous! We had to move several just to have a decent spot to hit a ball and stand
Don’t Bother..
Friendly staff to check you in which is pleasant. That’s the only positive aspect about this course. If you like hitting off dirt from the tee then this course is for you.. most holes had concrete fairways and greens. I had little expectations for a nice pace of play on Father’s day but this was well beyond overbooked. People were shooting 2-3 balls off the tees and searching for golf balls every hole.. Marshall came by once and didn’t say a word to help speed it up. If you’re looking for a cheap round and to kill 6-7 hours then give it a try.
No Marshall
The pace was very slow taking 2.5 hrs for the first 6 he's. There was no Marshall on the course to maintain pace. There was no beer cart on course either.
Going bankrupt?
Beaverdale offers a nice course layout for players looking for a shorter executive course. However the conditions were very poor. Fairways were extremely yellowed and tough to play off, and tee boxes are mounds of dirt littered with broken tees. The staff I did see were very nice, but not nearly enough of them as the one lady was trying to do 6 different jobs behind the counter. Overall just seems like they aren’t putting any money into maintaining the course and staff which sadly means I won’t be back.
Save your time and money.
Spent $60 for a cart and tee time, Marshall’s were completely rude and tried to tee off a tournament before my 4some because we got to the starter 5 minutes late even though it was due to the fact that nobody was at the desk to check us in. (“Tournament” was supposed to tee off 30 minutes after us.) fairways in terrible condition, yellow, and rock hard. Tee boxes are literally a pile of loose dirt. Bunkers weren’t maintained.
Dry
Fairway's harder than the asphalt in the parking lot.
Tee blocks dirt was so dry (no grass)...... felt like your were in a bunker.
Greens were in good shape.
