Beverly Golf & Country Club sprawls across naturally rolling terrain covered with thousands of trees, including maples, oaks, tamaracks, and willows. The golf course was carefully designed to feature a variety of shot values, unique holes, and it was routed to avoid parallel fairways and holes. Bunkers line the greensides, but there are not any directly in front. There is also a creek and a small lake that both come into play throughout the course. The golf course is versatile, allowing golfers the choice of running the ball up or flying it to the pin and the greens are also angled to the line of play so that there is flexibility with pin placements. Beverly Golf & Country Club’s signature hole is the par-3 12th, which features a well guarded green with a bunker to the right and a small pond to the left.

A hidden GEM

I was a member of Beverly for 3 years as an adult and was actually a member as a junior in the early 2000s. This course is an outstanding test of golf. It's a true strategic course, with ball placement and strategy just as important as being able to hit a ball 300 yards.

There are no flat putts on the greens. They are masterful greens that roll so true. It is an incredible golf course and I highly recommend finding a way to play here.

Good Challenge

I get a chance once a year typically to play at this private course with a friend who's a member. Course it always in great condition and the greens are fast and true! The course provides a very good challenge but the only complaint I have is that it has a few too many blind shots. Once you know the course it's not a problem, but from a personal preference, I'm not a fan of blind golf shots in general. Staff is friendly and the clubhouse is beautiful. Practice range and putting green are nice & large. I never say NO to playing here and always appreciate the layout & challenge.

Great course

The course is not overly long at 6500 yds for a par 70. The key shot is the tee ball as all of the fairways are tree lined, left and right. The key feature is the greens. They are angled strategically vis a vis the fairway, they have tight bunkering and, with exceptions for longer holes, they all have a lot of slope. The CPGA Seniors championship was just held there and the key issue for those players was the greens.
The surroundings are great. This is a course in the country without housing, power lines. incoming aircraft or other nuisances.
