About
Situated along the shores of Buckhorn Lake, Six Foot Bay Resort & Golf Course sprawls across a lush and colorful landscape. It is one of the Kawarthas hidden gems. Many locals consider it to be one of the most challenging courses in the area. The golf course's design closely follows the natural features of the terrain. It is a tight layout that requires thoughtful course management. Water hazards come into play on half of the holes and there are bunkers strategically placed along the greensides and a few of the fairways. The course is notable not only for its challenging design but also the immaculate conditions. Opened in 1981, the resort has been owned and operated by the same family that has owned the land since the 1940s.

Best kept secret in central Ontario.
Great course I reccomend.
Today was a bad Day as we were held up by a six person group and the marshal did nothing. It took 5.5 hr. and we will say this never happened before.
Also couldnt get a diet drink from the girls on the course, and this happened last time too. No effort made to get any.
Great condition for all 18 holes, and a great challenge
Fantastic round at Six Foot Bay
First time playing Six Foot Bay. Had perfect weather and thought the course was one of the top three I have played in Ontario. Great layout, challenging and the course condition was perfect. Staff was very friendly. Six Foot Bay is now my favorite course.
Lovely course
Love the course. Did GolfNow so the price was right. Very slow pace, took over 5 hours. Marshal should have been out to speed up play.
Nice course, poorly run
kick you off the course at 8 pm Without notifying you when taking your money, we were on 17 tee and told the course is closed. They should at the very least tell you when paying at 4:15 pm that your 4some has 3:45 to finish! Even if you have20 min. Of daylight left.
Enjoyable game with son
Six Foot Bay is my favourite course in the Kawarthas. The course is always in excellent shape. Pace of play is usually around 4 hours and the staff on the course are courteous by turning off their machines. Club house staff are always friendly. Food is fantastic for any meal of the day. My 13 years old son usually accompanies me and plays from the red tees. I've never had an issue with allowing him to join me as a junior. It's always been a great experience for us.
Cottage Country's Best
It has ben some time since my last visit and you have to love what Gary and crew have done to the place. The ponds,the out buildings, the traps and beds to say nothing about the covered bridge!! The conditions could not be better.

Overall good golf expierence
Slightly high on price but if you can get a deal it's ok.
The course is great if you are a golfer but can get busy with trailer park.
Good cottage course.
Good for cottage golf. No practice areas. Good greens,roll nicely. Fun course but slow play due to lack of Marshals. No senior rate.
Great Golf & Great Food!
This course is beautiful! A great challenge for me. After the game, we enjoyed lunch on the patio. The food was fresh and delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive.
Definitely be back for Golf and food!
Pretty as a picture
This course is in amazing shape considering the dry summer we have had. Greens very fast and true with a lot of undulations that make you think there is a break when in fact most putted pretty true. Don't personally care for a few of the holes on the course but absolutely worth the trip.
Worth the drive
WI'll always play this course for as long as I can. Just a great course.

Course is in excellent shape. Fast and tricky greens. Nice touchs with the course bridges and beautiful flowers on many tee boxes. Love this course!!
Great location and maintenance
We golfed here last year while visiting friends in the area. The course is very well maintained from Tee to Green. Excellent.
Great course
Played a round at six foot bay with a good friend of mine and we had a great experience. The course was in good condition and was challenging yet very fun. We will be back
