Oliver's Nest Golf and Country Club

About
Situated just west of Lindsey, Oliver's Nest Golf & Country Club is an idyllic escape that sprawls across rolling hills with the Mariposa Brook ambling through. The golf course opened in 1996 and despite being relatively young, Graham Cooke, a well known Canadian architect who designed the course, managed to incorporate the mature elms, oaks, and cedar trees that were already present in the wooded surroundings. Half of the holes on this challenging golf course are doglegs. The greens are fast and undulating and the rolling fairways are varied in size. The winding brook comes into play on several holes and there is also an abundance of strategically placed bunkers throughout. Oliver's Nest Golf & Country Club's signature hole is the par-3 seventh, whose green is protected by a pond in the front and trees in the back.

Best Value in Kawarthas
Been playing here for years and and it just keeps getting better. Great practice facility and corse is in great ahape with tee boxes to meet everyone’s level.
Well maintained course that continues to improve year after year. Maintenance staff has done aa excellent job cleaning up from the ice storm back at the end of March. Proshop has an improved look. Food and beverages also hit the spot after the round.
Great layout for all levels
This is a great layout and lots of options for those that want to go back a tee block. rough adds some additional challenge but overall a very enjoyable day
One of our favourite courses
We golfed at Oliver’s on opening day and again yesterday. The course is in fairly decent condition, especially considering the time of year and the recent ice storm.
Unfortunately there’s a few holes that present as less of a challenge due to the loss of some trees, but that could be a good thing depending on your handicap.
All in all, a great day and still one of our favourite courses in the immediate area. The staff are always great and welcoming.
Great course, has improved greatly over last 5 years
Ever since cardinal took ownership, this course has only gotten better every year! Conditions are fantastic even late season golf. Greens had been punched recently, but still rolled well. Rest of the course is in good shape for the time of year.
Round was average speed. We finished in under 4 hours, even though the group 2 ahead of us were slow. Marshall did come up and talk to us, but I don’t believe they did anything to the slow group. Wish they had pushed them up a hole considering they fell 2 holes behind the group ahead of them by the 9th hole.
Either way. Course is fun. Great shape. Speed was too slow, still under 4h, price is right. A couple interesting holes that they made easier by cutting down some trees. A long uphill par 3 is always nice, and somehow is always into wind! Look out for #5 I believe!
Late season play, still great!
Played October 19th. Course was still in great shape! It has been all year. This course has greatly improved over the years, and only keeps getting better! I am a mid to low handicap, and really enjoy playing here for the value and challenge. Par 3 number 5 is always a fun challenge! Greens were punched within the last week or two, still showing, but rolling very good. Minor frost delay, not the courses fault. Group in front of us fell behind by a hole or two by the end of the front 9. Marshall told us this, but did not make the group skip a hole to stay on pace. This caused us to be waiting more than we should have for being the 3rd group out. Was still an okay pace. Not normally an issue here though.
